Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a member and Director of Plymouth County Genealogists, Inc. (PCGI), and currently President of the Friends of Middleborough Cemeteries, Inc. (FoMC). I have researched my Family History and now really enjoy contributing to the knowledge of all people of the past. My non-family memorials focus on my town of Bridgewater, MA and the neighboring areas.

POSTERITY: I publish photos and create memorials here for the benefit of present and future generations. If you want to publish my gravestone photos on any website that you contribute to (except FindaGrave, according to FAQ#142), include in the photo caption "used with the written permission of Chip5610 (#46997557) at FindaGrave" and keep a screen-print of this page for your records. Copyright laws require you to obtain permission to use a photograph, and conditionally - based on your integrity - you have it! Understand that merely attributing credit does not comply with the law.

Building a cemetery index: I invest a lot of time developing and maintaining the cemetery page listings for Southeastern Massachusetts (maps for Plymouth and Bristol and Norfolk counties) and several other counties in the state. I add new cemeteries and I remove "incorrect" cemeteries. I improve existing cemetery pages by adding cemetery photos and the GPS coordinates. To each cemetery description, I add the GR identifiers from the MA Vital Records books and the MACRIS identifier to each Massachusetts cemetery description. MACRIS identifiers are an important first step in protecting a Massachusetts cemetery. Knowing where a cemetery is located is the first step in preserving the cemetery and finding a grave.

Assistance: The structure of the site engenders collaboration. The "Suggest a Correction (SAC)" feature is great, so use it liberally! My e-mail was set-up specifically for FindaGrave matters, so feel free to send as many SACs as you want. This is a great hobby, and I will work with anyone, happily! My only request: Say 'Thank You'!

Infant Howard of Oliver's
I wish we had a headstone to see if it states 5 days. If it does then maybe the month of April should have been November since the dates as far as the day dates are concerned would be 5 days apart.

You are very welcome and thank you for all the hard work you are doing. I try to update memorials as time allows but as you know it is time consuming.

RE: Keith Kin
Another "thank you" on behalf of my 87-year-old father who is enjoying the fruits of my research labors and that of my volunteer friends! He was told so many stories by his mother of his ancestors of whom so many are buried in Plymouth County area so it has been great to show him my research and the grave photos taken by me and others. My grandmother was the last of the direct line to be buried at Pine Hill. There is room in the family plot for a few more - if I should feel so inclined :) My dad has his final resting place already set up next to my mom in a national cemetery in another state - or he might have wished to be buried with his mother and grandparents...and so on.
Thanks, again. I will always smile when I see your Chip5610 here and there...

Thank you SO much for the Swift and Faulkner headstone photos you posted yesterday from Union Cemetery! It is so nice to finally have a photo on the memorial pages! May you be blessed for your efforts on behalf of my ancestors.

RE: Keith Kin
Did you just feel the earth shake? I am SOOOOOO beyond excited about THE Pardon Keith "find" and his 2nd wife and other family members! All this time...he was next to his first wife and no one posted that in her memorial! You have made such a huge impact on our family research and story. My father's mother was from this great Keith lineage I am almost complete in my Keith heritage burials back to Rev. James. We are missing grave location/s for Pardon's grandparents (Nathan Keith and Hannah Snell). Nathan was son of Timothy who was son of Rev. James. Chip, you have gone above and beyond and so many people will benefit from what you have done for SO MANY others. Thank you and thank you for the transfers :)
