I'm retired and have relocated to Florida (2011). YeY|
If there are any changes, corrections, or additions to a relative or friends entry you stumble across that I have done, feel free to email me. I love the 'edit' tab and corrections are really easy for me with that feature on findagrave. TRANSFERS - Unfortunately, I don't really appreciate the approach that a memorial needs transfer because you (not a direct family member) possess additional information which only can be added if transferred. Comes off as a little bogus at this end. As long as I'm alive and not a stroke victim, I can add whatever is passed along. Extensive information also understood and accepted as a valid reason to transfer. Etiquette always plays well.
FORT SNELLING NATIONAL transfers: I did the 2003 picture for the cemetery back when it had no picture. At last check it is still the one that is automatically attached to a FindAGrave (FAG) memorial when added. I have one memorial at Fort Snelling, Dorothy Rose Payne. None of the other memorials at Fort Snelling on FAG are mine. So I can't transfer what is not mine. End of story.
RANT Warning! ! ! Don't get me started on abbreviations; too late. I don't like abbreviations, I think people who use them are lazy and inconsiderate. Lazy! Inconsiderate! Yes, because when you can go to a memorial and read through it because it just flows due to the author using their fingers and typing out actual words. It looks so nice. Feels so good to know what you're reading. Then there are those who abbreviate this and that leaving behind cryptic memorials of this generation. Just think what people 100 years later will face when they come up against abbreviations that were popular in 1995 2012 2020 but will have to spend a good amount of time trying to find a rosetta stone of popular abbreviations throughout the last 100 years. And wouldn't you know, the one you made up won't be there. They would email and ask - BUT YOU'RE DEAD! It's so nice to read and know rather than read and wonder what the author was trying to say. There, that's why people who abbreviate are lazy and inconsiderate. Whoo, I feel better!
I realize many of you have Type Alpha personalities and want what you want RIGHT NOW. I don't arbitrarily delete messages. So I will get around to them. If I have questions or disagreements I will respond.
:::Addendum::: I do apologize for being incredibly tardy REALLY TARDY in follow up on information additions. This year I'm in process of pulling up stakes and relocating to Florida (That's done). Hopefully all will be spit spot by the holidays (Missed that deadline in a large way). Once the dust settles I should be back full force (still dust but I'm dealing). I'm still catching up on corrections (fall 2013).

You took a beautiful picture of the Mt Washington Cemetery in Independence, Missouri back in 2002. May I copy this picture and add it to my ancestry tree please? I do not and will never profit from my family tree.
Also, if I run into other relatives photos on findagrave that you have posted may I copy those, as well, so I don't have to bother you again? I will, of course, always give you the photography credit.You deserve it.
Thank you for your time and the time you give to others. We all appreciate it. I hope your holiday season is happy and I'm wishing I was in Florida, too!

The photos that you took of Helen's gravemarkers in Franklin Cemetery in Wyandotte County, Kansas are just wonderful, especially the second one that is marked to show the location. Thank you so much for taking the time to do such a great job.

I was just in looking for my Grandfathers memorial at Fort Snelling National. I was extremely impressed with the picture of the cemetery. The plane is most impressive. THANKS for posting such a wonderful picture to reflect the final resting place of our beloved Veterans.
Thank you for the transfer. God bless.

May I please use your photos in my family tree with credit to you for the pictures. Thank you.
|mortul vivos docent||I concur|
heartily with your opinions about abbreviations.

Sarah Scearce Nunnelley, Memorial #10847530, is my 3rd Great Grandmother and you have her memorial death date wrong. Sarah died on March 31, 1894, as it is listed on her headstone/memorial. Will you please in honor of my Great Grandmother please correct her memorial. Thanks

You are completely correct. And I had to giggle a bit, at your guts to tell people like it is. There are many people who grab and go...... Too much work to say Thank you..... Maybe it is a generation thing! lol. Let alone some good old manners. When they said we could NOT smack um now and then, huge mistake!!!! No NOT throw um across the room and knock their teeth out, but something is a miss, with common Courtesy. I think your numbers are amazing and Thank you for your time and energy, and many hours.
