I am a retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer, with over 28 years of federal civil service. To keep myself busy, I became a navigator/logistics specialist on my husband's rig. I am also the proud wife of a retired Army soldier and the very proud mother of a soldier, who was injured by an IED explosion and completed his tour of duty in Iraq.
It's the soldier, not the reporter who has given us Freedom of the Press. It's the soldier, not the poet, who has given us Freedom of Speech. It's the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate. It's the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the Right to a Fair Trial. It's the soldier who salutes the flag, serves under the flag and whose coffin is draped by the flag. ~Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC~~GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!
If there are memorials I have created or maintain who are your family members, please send me a message and I will be more than happy to transfer them to you; EXCEPT, IF THEY ARE IN MY FAMILY TREE, MY HUSBAND'S FAMILY OR MY ADOPTED MOM'S FAMILY, then I will maintain the memorial(s).
The photos I post may be used by one and all at any time, although no money is to be made from my photographs. Photo credit would be appreciated. This is a site for all to cherish for future generations with headstone photos of distant relatives never known and now, never to be forgotten.
For people who make inappropriate comments on relatives' memorials, or anyone's memorial, please refrain from doing so. The appearance of the memorial is tacky to say the least. FindAGrave also asks you refrain from making inappropriate comments in a biography.

Turn onto Lisa Lynn Drive---look for Old Hixson Cemetery Road.
|SeverinW||Re: Hixson Cemeteries|
I have found where a lot of confusion has come from. Pat Sproat has uploaded a bunch of duplicate memorials. Well at the time they were not duplicate as they predate the memorials in Ephraim Hixson cemetery for the same people. I am going through the list of no. 2 to straighten things out now.

There are three Hixson cemeteries in the Hamilton County area. My grandma was born there in Hixson and is granddaughter of Timothy Stringfield Hixson. She can confirm that. Though there does seem to be at least one mislisting in the Hixson Cemetery in Middle Valley. I need to look into another one or so to be sure. Either way the cemeteries do not need to be numbered as they are, but referred to on Find a Grave with their names Ephraim Hixson Cemetery, Foster Hixson Cemetery, Old Hixson Cemetery,... I am going to send a message to the admins to fix this issue. I am going to look at the cemeteries to see if anybody got put into the wrong one by accident.
