I'm a history/genealogy buff researching my Holcomb and Gossoo ancestors, among others. I have been intrigued by cemeteries ever since I was a kid. I began photographing gravestones when I was a high school student. Many photos of graves in Greene & Ulster County, NY taken over the years. Currently living in Western NY and filling photo requests in Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Steuben and Yates Counties. I am working on locating small abandoned cemeteries that are not yet listed on Find-a-Grave, and also graves of veterans from the French & Indian Wars, Revolutionary War, and War of 1812.|
I am happy to transfer memorials or make corrections as needed; use the "Suggest a Correction" link found on the "Edit" tab of any of my memorials.
PLEASE NOTE: If I fill your photo request, I promise not to do any damage to your family member's gravestones. I will not use chalk, shaving cream, or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions.
"People will not look forward to posterity, who never look backward to their ancestors."-- Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797)
As you visit these virtual graves, have you given any thought to where you will spend eternity? "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" -- Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." -- Romans 6:23
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." -- Romans 5:8
"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;" -- Romans 10:9
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." -- Romans 10:13
Have you accepted this gift?==================================

Thank You for the kindness in transferring Joel to our family care, it is much appreciated.
Yes, I know where I'll be when my mortal life is over. I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was 16 years of age, many many moons ago.........
My faith was severely tested and greatly shaken when the nightmare began on April 24th 2011, Easter Sunday, my husband, Charlie, died of a heart attack and another walk through h___ began, as if being married for 12 years to an abusive man wasn't bad enough, I with 6 children survived and moved on to a far better life with Charlie.
May 22nd 2011, 4 weeks to the day after Charlie died, I lost a great friend & co-worker.
November 19th, 2011, another great friend of many years.
December 16th, 2011, my oldest child died.
March 2012, my youngest child 4 months pregnant with their only daughter, was 3 weeks in the hospital, with a near death situation, a surgical procedure, two blood transfusions later, she with daughter still intact, came home.
10 days later...... April 1st 2012, I lost my Best Friend, first love and father of child # 7.
I lost my Husband, oldest child, best friend & first love, near loss of my youngest child & granddaughter, and 2 very very special people, all in less than 1 year.
While I have endured far more than I ever felt I bargained for in life, Christ is, and will always be my Savior.
Those who have never had their feet held to the fire, will never know the truest of Christ's love in their soul.
The Best to You and Yours, Butterfly~Kisses

Wow! That foil method works very well!
The photos you just posted for Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Unadilla is appreciated. In looking over your profile, I'm impressed with your many interests. Finding those old graves are so valuable for the rest of us trying to piece together families. Thank you for all you are doing. Donna
Hello Mark :)
In searching for folks I'm related to, I located an obituary for Morton (39438617) and uploaded it. Please let me know if you would like me to remove it after you get the chance to glean any information. I did notice that his mother, Angelina is noted as 'Annie Gusso' not Gossoo. Anywho, thank you for all that you do - and now if I could only remember who I was searching for in the first place? :) ~Berta
