Bio and Links
Bio Photo My dad John Joseph "JJ" Farley and my mom Arlene Ida Wittenberg - both now gone with memorials on this site. Feel free to visit them and other family members that I have linked and if the mood strikes, thank you for leaving a flower or token.

~~~~~~~~~~
I will gladly make any corrections or updates. Please use the "EDIT" tab on each memorial to do so. I will transfer memorials on a case by case basis guided by the FAQ's. Also, please read the instructions on how to make such a request and when it is/isn't appropriate to do so: How do I get a memorial updated or transferred to me?
I add these memorials as a tribute to those who have passed as well as allowing friends and relatives who cannot travel to "visit" and pay their respects.
Any information in these memorials that is not listed in the obituary was either provided by another member or was available on the funeral home (listed in the obit) website.
~~~~~~~~~~

FAQ's ARE THE RULES FOR THIS SITE.

"HELP WITH FINDAGRAVE" ARE THE FAQ'S. READ THEM. THOROUGHLY. SEVERAL TIMES. THEY ARE PERIODICALLY UPDATED. READ THEM AGAIN

Find-A-Grave is not the place to list dead people without knowing what's become of their remains. This is not the place to add people for the sole purpose of making connections in your family tree. There are other websites for that.

The FAQ's state that BU's (Burial - unknown location) may be added for RECENT deaths and asks that the final disposition be determined within 30 days. The Admins have said if you don't believe you will know, DON'T ADD THE MEMORIAL.

~~~~~~~~~~
Many thanks to all the volunteers who have added their hard work, love and sanity to create these memorials. Without your dogged trekking through brush, nettles, rain, snow, ornery cemetery attendants, dusty historical registers and the like to photograph and record the resting places of those that have gone on before us, we would not have this website.
~~~~~~~~~~

My heartfelt thanks to bill for sponsoring my mother's and Proppy's memorials. He is a kind man and made these thoughtful gestures unsolicited.

RE: Hope you're ok
Howdy!

Yep, I'm fine, thanks for asking! Hope this finds you doing mighty fine too! It's just that somebody posted over on the forums about TribalPages, I took a look at the site, and wound up deciding to put my and my husband's family trees up (TP isn't proprietary like a certain site that shall remain nameless!). Thing is, the whole thing being on paper - I started doing it back in the pre-pc days and just kept printing things off once I got my laptop instead of putting it all in a GEDCOM, I'm having to put all that info on manually. I'm afraid if I stop I won't start up again, and it takes up all my spare time and no doubt some time I probably oughtn't spare. I do plan to be more active on Find A Grave again once I get the bulk of the names and all up on the other site. I do check my CP daily, and of course answer SACs promptly, I'm not totally inactive right now which is why I put no notice up on my CP. Do please let them know over on the Forums my absence is temporary. I do miss everybody there and on the main site!

I put a link to my TP site on the bottom of my CP, so people can see what I'm up to and maybe check to see if I have anybody of interest to them on the trees.

Again, hope you're doing fine too! Take care now, hear? Hugs and cookies! - Dee☼

RE: Calverton Updates
I regularly monitor 10 national cemeteries for new interments. These are my "Pet" cemeteries. I check most of them every week and the rest I check every 2 weeks. I've been doing the same 10 cemeteries for the past 3 years. When a memorial page is missing information or has incorrect information, I'll send out an SAC to have the page updated. When necessary, I create a new memorial pages.

I send out 20 to 30 SACs a day, five days a week. I wasn't picking on you, I was just makeing sure our veterans are properly honored with complete and accurate memorial pages.

Have another great day,
Ed

RE: JOHN R CONNOLLY
I put the patches on the headstone for the photo. Out of respect to a fellow member of the department. Take care.
