Unknown burials
Glad to see you are on top of things. Doesn't it just irritate you and Find A Grave doesn't seem to care about it? There must be literally thousands of these unknown burials if not millions that have been around for years. I think they should all be deleted by Find A Grave after 30 days.

unknown Memorial
Hi Gail;
My husband and myself are volunteers for the local historical society. Upon entering these obituaries I questioned where I should insert this documentation. There are no cemeteries listed in the obituaries. Should I place them in cremated or other? At times, family members will edit the memorial and indicate which cemetery the individual is interred. I thought it is better to insert the information and have it in place for genealogist who is searching for family members.

Wlodek Family
Hi.

The following were near Mr. Robert Wlodek at Holy Sepulchre:

Harold F. Wlodek
November 18, 1918 - December 16, 1970

Kurt R. Wlodek
August 29, 1965 - June 7, 1969

If you make their memorials, I can add their photos.

Please, let me know how you'd like to proceed.

Thanks.

I just located the 1930 census in Detroit. Frederick Papsdorf, 42, living at 12783 Jane St. in Detroit, occupation electrician for street RY. Wife Christine, 41; children Henry, 14; Mildred, 7; Martha, 2. It looks like Mildred Cadorette is daughter of Fred.

Here is a marriage record I found on Ancestry:
Nov. 14, 1912
Fred Papsdorf, occupation “clerk” is 25, was married in Mt. Clemens, MI Nov. 14, 1912 to Tena Volkenant, 24, born in Mt. Clemens, the dau. Of Andrew Volkenant. The marriage was conducted by Theo G. Papsdorf, Ev. Pastor. One of the witnesses was Mr. B. Papsdorf of Saline, MI. Records say that Fred’s parents are Otto Papsdorf and Minnie Mahr.

From my other research, I believe Fred's younger brother Bruno of Saline was the witness. Theo would be Fred's oldest brother, Rev. Theodore G. Papsdorf. I believe the name "Minnie" is a nickname for Wilhelmina, Fred's mother.
Thanks for checking on the obits, I am getting ready to write something for publication about the Papsdorf family.

Fred Papsdorf FIG # 93968623
A photo of Otto Papsdorf and his wife and two children has been saved at St. Paul's Church, Saline. Photo donated by Henry Papsdorf, a descendant. Otto was married to Wilhelmina Mohr (sometimes misspelled Moore) and they had the following children:
Son Theodore G. Papsdorf, born Oct. 27, 1882 in Indiana
Daughter Wilhelmina/"Minnie" R. born 1884 in Indiana, married Carl Finkbeiner.
Son Frederick, born 1887
Son Paul, born 1890
Son Bruno, born 1897 FOG #80462770.
Both Otto and his son Theodore were pastors, and at different times were pastors of churches in Saline, Mich.
I posted the photo on Otto's Find A Grave site. That photo was taken before Frederick was born. I have searched Ancestry for census records and marriage records in different years to track down this family. I have suggested some additional info on the Otto Papsdorf Find A Grave site and I hope the site will be changed to show the info I have found. I haven't got the graves of all four of Otto's children, only two so far.
Henry, who provided the photo, is not around to give more info; he is in the same cemetery as Fred, and I wonder if he is Fred's son? Maybe you can find out.
I am a history writer for two newspapers and I am the author of three local history books through Arcadia Publishing. So, I love finding out new facts about people from the past!!

Got rid of my duplicate - you can arrange the photos better.
