I am originally from Davenport, Iowa, Class of 64. Right now, I live in Kingsport, TN. I recently was transfered from Ft. Polk Louisiana. I am assigned to Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport. My vacations have been taken in Iraq and Afghanistan and Kosovo. Alex Haley in his "Roots" really got my interest in family history going. I had so many questions for my grandfather when I was young but I was intimidated. He had such a stern appearance. With the dawn of Ancestry.com, research into my German roots has really taken off. Now the curtain is being pulled back and we can see into the past.
I am still trying to settle in. If you have a photo request for the national cemetery in Johnson City, TN, I think I can find the place.
