I have been interested in family history for about 31 years, with the invention of the World Wide Web my research has taken off. Find A Grave.com is another very useful tools in the arsenal of places for the genealogist to use. There is still nothing like getting away from the computer and getting down and dirty digging for information that you want. I believe there is still tons of info that is not computerized. Have fun but be careful doing it. Any Memorials that are yours I will be glad to transfer custody per Find A Grave guidelines|

Sarah E., daughter of Thomas Smithers, died 13 October, 1867, age 21 years, 4 days.
at the Gen Soc Room (Library) in Macomb, McDonough, Illinois contact the people in Macomb and they are very glad to help anybody.
The book reference to ask for is Smithers in the "Old Macomb" Cemetery Book, pub. by the McDonough Co Gen Society. They should know right away what you are after. The photos included are of Sarah E (?)daughter of T&A Smithers, the other has two stones to read on one side:
Thomas and Joseph : the third is a line of stones which I believe were of more Smithers.

info added. I am wondering if the birthdate is 1857 or 1867? It looks like a 6 on the headstone but I could be wrong, especially if you have it in writing.
