Your tombstone stands among the rest, Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out...On old gray granite stone.
It reaches out to all who care...It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist...You died...and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you...In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse...Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled...One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left...Who would have loved you so.
I wonder when you lived and loved; I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot...And come and visit you."

ha,thanks! I found this site a wk ago and have been all over the place on it, I forget what I sent you! no matter. I know the Hanscoms lived all around S Berwick and had land near the old vine street cemetery. (old fields). I have found photos in Library of Congress. Do you live near 236? ( I used to drive through all teh time on the ay to my grandparents. got lots of photos of other Hanscoms in Old fields 3 yrs ago, didn't know about the nearby relatives!) are we related?

Hope you are doing well.
If at all possible could you get a picture of Alfred Walker's grave stone for me - or recommend someone who could assist?
I am trying to wrap up documentation for submitting my wife's family as descendants of Thomas Rogers of the mayflower. I have worked with a genealogist in Maine trying to locate documents related to Alfred Walker - but it appears at this point the only HARD evidence I could get aside from census and books will be a picture of Alfred's grave stone and your updates.
This is really the last loose end that I have.
Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate all the work you have put into this process.
If possible could you please add a photo for this grave?
I am in the process of trying to validate Alfred Walker (1772 - 1859) as descendant of Thomas Rogers of the Mayflower. His wife was Abigail Rowe (1778 - 1847).
Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Death: Jun. 24, 1859
