I have researched my family lines: Venable, Forman, Crumpton, and Pullen/Pullin and related families with Alabama ties, along with my husband's family lines, Phillips, Cornelius and related families. Also researched the non-related Inzer line from St. Clair Co., Al. I have been doing research for 40 years or more and have enjoyed every minute of walking through cemeteries from South Carolina to Texas. Also, going through old probate records in dusty court house basements and now through the internet. It has been an enjoyable ride. The thrill of finding that missing piece of the puzzle is awesome. Due to health reasons, I no longer do much cemetery walking, but still have the desire, and make short visits when able. Find-A-Grave has been a most enjoyable site for me to visit and I have found numerous missing persons here. To see a picture of a loved ones memorial is the next best thing to being there. |
An event close to my heart was the disappearance of the U.S.S. Cyclops, March, 1918, in the Bermuda Triangle. There were 4 Alabama sailors aboard. No trace of the ship has been found to date. A distant cousin, Forman "Austin" Mize was aboard this ship. These 4 sailors are listed in my virtual cemetery "USS Cyclops".
God Bless all who contribute and share their hard work.

Thank you, Betty, I appreciate your prompt response; most don't bother. God bless you also!

I browse the old newspapers at Henderson county Historical Commission; I have the article published for Mrs. Venable which I can send as an edit if you wish to copy and paste to her memorial.
I should have said, I read what you had written. Sometimes my fingers are faster than my brain! Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave.

Hi, I saw the memorial for Laura & read what Betty Venable had written. I transferred the memorials to her just now.
Betty, I have tried to make the corrections that you asked for and have transferred all of the family of E H Inzer that I managed. I prefer not to delete the memorial of Fannie Inzer but will make it a cenotaph. I have deleted her family links. Hope this helps.

I always appreciate folks who do such research as yours. I would like to point out that for Fannie Montgomery Inzer there was already a Findagrave site created by member 47651599 a year before you added one. Having two sites for the same person is confusing, particularly when the names are listed differently. Would you mind adding your information to the original site, or ask that member to transfer her site to you and delete one of the sites. Findagrave is getting increasingly jumbled what with people adding all kinds of stuff, some not even well researched.

I am always happy to transfer but my input is precise as obit and if there is no such cemetery, which your knowledge far exceeds mine. Then Find A Grave should delete the cemetery from all records.
side note, I have tracked Phillips in Lincoln Co. Tn/Madison Co. Al. to Tx. has your tracking covered any of these
