I started walking cemeteries in early 2012, though I have had a find-a-grave account for quite a while. Never considered it might get to be such a gripping hobby.|
I take photos. What else can I say...walk, stop, snap a pic...keep walking. Pretty much wraps up what I do. I never planned on creating and managing memorials. I printed lists of ones others had made that needed photos. Filling an empty memorial with an image was just the start. Finally I just started taking a picture of every last stone I could find ('mowing the rows' is what they call it) and then make sure each and every name is memorialized on this website.
I will gladly transfer anyone that is not related to me (that is about 99% of them)...just let me know how YOU are related. It also means I send a lot of notes if the info on a page is in err...or if there is another name on a stone that the manager may want to add as well.

Thanks for transferring another Civil War veteran to us.
You might try the actual census.
I don't have an Ancestry membership nor do I financially subscribe to any genealogy site.
Otherwise, I'd be there for you.

Your Bawden Ancestry Msg Board:
I went to your Find A Grave list and didn't recognize anyone. I know there is a large group who ended in the Salt Lake City area.
Sorry I couldn't help you but thank you for posting them and taking marker pics.
I am a Bawden and have gone verifiably to 1753 in Cornwall.

Thank you so much for transferring them to me! You may rest assured that I will take excellent care of their memorials. Next trip through Iowa I may stop and see them for myself. I'd like that.

Thanks Michael, you are very caring.
|Shelly Bednar||Michael Dean Segar|
I was wondering if you could please transfer Michael's site to me. He was my baby cousin #115198436. I am the oldest cousin and I am doing family History for the Segars. Unless you are related to him of course. I would like to do a bio. I am originally from Webster City.
|Virginia Bright||Grace Belle McCoullough Fausch|
Grace was married to my Grandfather Johannes (John) Edward Fausch. He is buried at Story Memorial Cemetery with his first wife. Thank you for your service. You can transfer this to me if you want.
Virginia (Fausch) Bright.
