You are very welcome. I am so happy I was able to find anyone in that cemetery. There is no real organization there. It is somewhat difficult to find someone if you don't know where they are placed. Thank you for being a part of our community. :)
|Rob F||Webber photo request, Snug Harbor|
Hi, Ms Sammis. I thought I'd start informing photo requesters that I've been to Sailor's Snug Harbor Cemetery and from what I can tell there are only 16 marked tombstones left on the site,all have FG memorials and pictures.
John Joseph Nathaniel Webber (Aug. 18, 1829 - Oct., 1909) is not there. The marker may be buried or have disappeared, but if it is one of the many small sometimes numbered 'generic' stones it could be in storage at Snug Harbor Cultural Center. I'm working on permission to cataloge and photograph those stones, I'll let you know whatever I can discover about John Joseph Nathaniel Webber. You might be aware of the following records, but just in case here are links....
this funeral home record lists some folks who's last residence was Snug Harbor.
I suggest you keep the photo request open, as there may be developments. Thank you, Rob F

You are most welcome, glad to help. As for the Burlinson family, I don't find any people by that name listed in the cemetery book I have.
Sincerely, Ron Kinney

|THStew||Re: Samuel Halsey|
You're welcome. I had a little trouble finding his stone, but it was exactly where the map says it should be. Go figure.
I also uploaded photos of the stones of Samuel's wife, Sebel, and their son, Job, who drowned at age 22. And I sent a message to Fred Sarr, the manager, regarding the links.
Is Samuel your ancestor? There are still plenty of Halseys in these parts.

Are you able to visit the cemetery again or do Scottish research?
