You are welcome. The day I went it was not planned. So I did not have any cleaning items to clean headstones off. I went again yesterday to do some research and the historical society is only opened on Friday's. So I sent back to the cemetery cleaned off the headstone and retook the picture. It does look a lot better.

You are very welcome. I have a close up of his wife's side - Winnona - but I don't see a memorial on Find A Grave. If you want to create one, I will add that photo.

Have a great day.

You are so welcome...it was my pleasure! I took quite a few shots of different views and would be happy to send them to you if you wish. :)

I found if you use a thick wire, bend it like a gun, one part 6 inches down and one leg about 10 inches long, it is good to find anything in the ground. I used a coathanger for this. I snipped off the hook top, and then cut it at the bend. I made it look like a 90 deg. wire. Kept it loose in my hand and a slight down angle. If you walk along your lawn you can find your sewer, or water line. It will turn and line up with the direction on the line. I can find coins too but a little more complicated to write about. At the cemetery, I did the sme thing. I walked along the rows real slow. With wire loose in hand, when you get to grave, it will point to it, and line up with the person. You can try it on the stones already there to practice. One such person said they can get it to go in one direction for a female and the other direction for a male. I have not had the good fortune for that. I hope I explained it good enough for you. Good Luck!!

This grave is unmarked. I have walked this cemetery and with the book from the city, verified grave locations and documented pictures of all gravestones that exist in the Hillside cemetery on Find A Grave. I'm sorry that this grave is unmarked. The North Loup Loyalist paper from that town is online and may help you with your research. Good Luck.
