Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in my family roots while helping my daughter on a class project about genealogy. I didn't start my actual research until a few years later, but have now been involved in 16 years of active research and there's no sign of an end to it.

Since joining Find-A-Grave, it has led to the discovery of so many more relatives that I would probably never find without the kind efforts of so many others.

Robert Clyde Sands Jr.
Something is not right on your notice to me about being a duplicate. Either Mary Bob or mine is wrong but according to obit the dates on mine appear to be correct. Her obit shows b. 2 Oct 1928 - d. 2 Feb 1985 mine shows b. 2 Oct 1926 - d. 2 Jun 1964

Birth: Oct. 2, 1926
Giles County
Tennessee, USA
Death: Jun. 2, 1964
Virginia, USA [Edit Dates]

SANDS, Robert Clyde The Pulaski Citizen 10 Jun 1964
Robert Clyde Sands, Jr., 37, native Giles Countian, and an employee of the General Electric plant in Lynchburg, Va., for several years, died at 1:30 o'clock , Tuesday night, June 2, at a Lynchburg hospital, following surgery and complications.
Funeral services were held at 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Lynchburg, followed by services at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The burial took place in Lynnwood Cemetery, Lynnville, with Masonic rites.
Born October 2, 1926, in Giles County, he was the son of Robert Clyde Sands of Columbia and Mrs. Ima Shackel of Royal Oaks, Mich.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sands is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Robinson Sands, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl D. Robinson, of Lynnville; two sons, Robert Clyde Sands, III, and Randy Kent Sands, Lynchburg; and two half-brothers and one half-sister.

I will be glad to delete my memorial if need be. Just copy the obit and past on Mary Bob memorial or send it to her so she can place on her memorial.
Just let me know what you want me to do. Thanks Tom, Jesse R Mitchell

You sent me an edit for the above # 118268321to link him as a spouse of Minerva McCormick # 19352014 who died in 1882. Could you remove your edit request and send me a corrected one? Thanks.
