Your tombstone stands among the rest;
In this field of green.
The name and date are chiseled out
For all the world to see.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I'd exist,
You died long before I was born.
Yet we are of one, you and I,
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the life you lived
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
If a duplicate is created on the site for the same individual, the memorial page that was created in the correct cemetery first is the memorial page stays. We have a way to know where a memorial page was created and if and when it was transferred to another cemetery. Creating memorial pages as burial unknowns, moving to the correct cemetery after the memorial in the correct cemetery and then telling the contributor that was their first that they are second and to remove theirs is called Backdating and is not acceptable on the site. If Backdating a memorial is brought to our attention, then that memorial page will be removed from the site.

|Jane Lane||PER FINDAGRAVE:|
I couldn't tell you how many times I have had my entry in the correct cemetery only to have it removed and replaced by one that was unknown burial because it's number was lower than mine.
In fact I have one right now in the correct cemetery, that will be removed because of the lower number.

(no need to wait for a request)

|Pat Bell||Howard Gordon Dodd|
Howard Gordon Dodd married Cordelia Louise Bell on March 31, 1944, in Jefferson County Alabama. Cordelia Louise Bell was 18 and Howard Gordon Dodd was 21. Cordelia later married Harold S. George
Cordelia s parents were Raymond McKinley Bell and Ora Mae Keener Bell. Raymond Bell was my husband James Bell s uncle. So I am sure this is true.

I messed up. I came across Nancy's obit and added it to Maplewood Cemetery's list. Unfortunately, it was the wrong Maplewood. I found yours and realized my mistake, but it was after I added some info.
If you want to use any of the info I put in before I delete it, please do so and then let me know when you're done. (#154579140)
