|I have been interested in genealogy since I was a teenager. My grandmother always said her husband, my grandfather, was from Norway. It wasn't until many years later that I realized she meant Norway, NY and that his family was actually German! While, I still haven't made much progress on the Wohler family line, I have been able to go back many generations on other lines (Preston, Hodge, Grower, Woods, Baker). Many times the information was found due to someone taking the time to make a cemetery transcription or cutting an article from an old newspaper. I work full-time and have two young children (they have made numerous trips to our local cemeteries!) so most of my research is local or on-line, so getting help through F-A-G is a tremendous help. I hope to help someone by getting some photos or adding the burial record that will help someone scale their brick wall.|
I am not related to most of these memorials! I willingly transfer to reconnect them with their families.
Another great site to check out is www.fultonhistory.com.

Thank your for the transfer of my Aunt Sadie.
Very kind of you
I own a old scrapbook from 1930 and in it was the death of this man. It also has a picture of him in the newspaper write up.
I hope you can help. You show the death date as 1925 can you tell me how you came by the date. I am not finding anything and I hope you can lead me to the right direction.

I enjoyed your "Norway" story. I'm from that area and the same thing happens to other small towns in that area such as Poland and Ohio. If a local person there tells someone there from Poland or Norway they say it as they assume there's only one Poland or Norway. I enjoy the locals there.

You're welcome. I hope that we have photographed the correct marker for George...the marker reads Charles but the dates seemed to somewhat match.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get his photo! I have done a lot of research on him and having his tombstone picture just kind of finishes his story for me. So appreciate it!

Thank you so so so much!! I will take wonderful care of my family's memorials. They had no children so the loved their neices and nephews as their own. I am so blessed to be able to honor them!!
Melissa, thank you so much for taking the photo for Mrs. Kellerman's memorial. I really appreciate your help. Cathy W. in MN
