I will have limited computer access during July. I will make all updates as time allows.

When I walk a cemetery, I make a note of other nearby relatives, the section/area I am in and include it in my transcriptions. When you are researching a 'John Smith', it helps to know if there are other 'Smith' names next to him. It is very helpful having any plot information.
Some cemeteries restrict photo taking by non-family members. Having any plot information helps all of the photo volunteers.
When I first started, I just wrote down names without photos. Now I take photos of all of the headstones.
Quite often I find myself researching the folks that I create memorials for, adding additional information and linking as many as I can locate.
As time allows, I am willing to do some Oregon obituary research for others. This is my form of 'Pay It Forward'.

I will make corrections/additions to any memorial that I have created.
All requests are verified before I change the memorial.

|Ken Rouston||RE: Woodmere Cemetery|
Ann, I usually just look over the photo requests to see which Sections have the most requests. Then, if I have a map for that area, I chart out a plan.
I also look over the older requests to see if I can figure out what Section and Lot they might be upon.
Section A used to be all one unit. Now they have broken it down into Sections A1, A2, A3, A4 & A5. The lot numbers did not change - so if you say Section A, Lot 1045 (that is enough information), I can figure out where it is. Lot 1045 does fall in Section A5 now. For Sections like "E" I would need know the Section, Block Number & Lot Number because that Section is set up differently. I looked over your list of requests and printed it. My plan is to hit Section A again so I will see if I can pick-up some of your photo requests (unless someone fulfills the request before I get there) since they are mostly on Lot 1045. I did find that William York is in Section A (A5), Lot 647 and Sarah York was originally buried in Section I, Lot 114 - then moved in 1906 to Section L, Lot 34 but there is a note indicating that she has no headstone. I should be able to easily find A 1045 because I found the Charles & Elizabeth Smith headstones that were just three lots East of Lot 1045.
|KareBear||The Shattuck Family|
My name is Karen Ball Campbell and Sara Melissa Palmer Shattuck is my second - great aunt along with her husband Eugene George Shattuck. Was wondering if you could transfer the family over to my care as I am trying to get the entire family in my care.
Once again thank you

|Gone Too Soon||About Ernest Tuchek|
There is another Memorial for Ernest and it is Find A Grave 71496249
The Obit for him spelled his name as "Ernie Tucek" This was very common to see for the Tuchek family over the years but he really is Ernest Tuchek.
He is in the Belcrest Cemetery in Salem, Oregon and his brother, Edmund Tuchek, died in Albany, Linn Co, Oregon.
In your cemetery search, were you able to find where Ernest and Edmund's parents are?
Charles S Tuchek Sr (born Nov 1875-) and Julia Ondricek Tuchek (born May 1873) They were last living in 1920 in North Scio, Linn Co, Oregon.
Ernest's obit says "Mr and Mrs Chas Tucek, and their family lived for years on the present Joe Roner farm just northwest of Scio"
Edmund died in 1972 in Albany, Linn Co, OR and parents Charles and Julia - I am not sure when or where they are buried either.
