Please send all transfer requests through the "Suggest a Correction tab" with a valid email address. |
If you submit a correction or extra information for a bio, please let me know your source and/or relationship to the deceased. You will be credited for additions. If you are related to the deceased and I am not, in many cases, I'd be happy to simply transfer the memorial. However, if you are outside the guidelines, I will observe a grace period to consider requests from closer relations.
With regard to copyright and obituaries, the USGenWeb Obituary project is the guide:
A full, verbatim transcription will only be posted if
(1) it is in the Public Domain (ie., pre-1923) or
(2) you were the original author of the obituary, or
(3) the newspaper in question grants permission to reprint the obituary, or
(4) the obituary is that of a family member (please give the relation), or
(5) you submit an abstract of the factual information from the obituary."
Again, however, subject to the above limitation, I may simply make a transfer so you can add the information.

I inherited a few memorials to manage and have been looking at the Tagers. George and Dorothy are presumably buried in Beaumont, Texas, because there is a photo of their joint marker at St Michael's Orthodox Cemetery. But, you also have entries for them at Bonaldo Cemetery in Nacogdoches, only with no photos and only a death date for Dorothy. Looks like she died about six months before he did. Perhaps she is buried in Bonaldo but memorialized on his stone in Beaumont? Can you shed any light on this? It would be nice to consolidate the entries if appropriate, just in the general interest of tidiness.

I was able to get into the mausoleum in Marshall for some better photos. Just wanted to let you know :)
|Julia A Ryan||Clarissa Jane Sockwell|
Love the photos of Clarissa Jane. Also love the memorial, beautifully done.
Curious, I am having a hard time finding her parents. Are these your pictures? Was there any documentation on the back of the photos?
Seems genealogists have had a hard time tracking her parents to as I have found:
Edwin Buchanan Sockwell
Thomas Wright Sockwell
Also found her birth ranging from 1835 to 1839

I sent you an email concerning the memorial page of Frank B Bonifay. Thanks for any response.

I am writing on behalf of Henry Rosenblath of Shreveport. I see that you are the sponsor of the page for Mr. Wolfe (as captioned above). Henry is a direct descendant of Mr. Wolfe and there are facts included that the family did not know before. He would like to verify some of this information and wondered if you could provide the name of the contributor. Your ariticle is fascinating.

When I first started in genealogy I got intouch with a Ken Barnes. Over the years I've lost contact with many of my original contacts. You have to be that Ken.

15574547 - I just tried to clean up the photo you posted of John. I have re-posted it. Please take a look and let me know what you think. If you want me to remove the photo I will be happy to. I just thought it might be nice to try and get rid of some of the imperfections.
Hi Ken, Thank you for the transfer, and for being a friend.
