Find a Grave ID

Bio

We are ardent genealogists and started cemetery picture taking visits when we were on our ATVs and found an old cemetery at Gilmore, Idaho. It was not on find-a-grave, we added it, and were hooked. We live in the upper Snake River Valley of Idaho and, with the help of others, are working to preserve graves and cemeteries for future generations and also providing a way for people to visit their ancestors or friends even though they can't visit the graves in person.

As the great-grandson of John Rawlston Poole (1829-1894), one of the settlers of "Poole's Island", now Menan, Jefferson, Idaho I have a great interest in preserving family history for future generations.

As the great-granddaughter of Joseph Johannsen (Johnson) (1852-1931) one of the early settlers of Teton Valley, Idaho I also have a great interest in preserving family history for future generations.

Since we are supporters of the Boy Scouts of America we are advising young men on how to carry out an Eagle Scout service project where they take headstone pictures for find-a-grave to preserve genealogical data for the present and future generations.

Unfortunately, we can make errors, so if you find an error, or if you have additional information on anyone we've entered into find-a-grave, please contact us so we can make necessary changes.

P.S. You are welcome to use any pictures I have taken for non-profit use. If they find a place in your family history I will be honored.
