Hi! I am Ann I have been doing genealogy for ages it seems. As someone once said, "You don't know where you're going till you know where you've been". Genealogy has taught me more history, more geography, more law, more photography and HOW TO USE A TOPO MAP, than school ever did. My ancestors stare at me through photo's asking me what I've done with my life and I am always humbled to look back and say "Not as much as you did with yours". Genealogy has even taught my husband how to ask for directions :-)

RE:Thomas Marr
Thank-you so much for the obituary for Thomas Marr. I have added it to his memorial page. Find A Grave is lucky to have you as a volunteer because you take a lot of your time to help other FAGers.

I went ahead and transferred the memorial. You should keep it so you can add more details. From one Louisvillian to another. Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Ernesto Natiello
Enjoyed seeing your memorial on Ernesto Natiello. He was my grandfather's brother, Oreste. Oreste is buried in Louisville in 1959. He had his arm severed during the fall but did not know it was gone til the doctor told him. He is buried at Cave Hill near his second wife because her child would not let him be buried with her. She is with her first husband. I never knew him but have done research and contact family that did know him. He played horn and violin but became a doorman in Louisville. He did not raise my mom. She was adopted by another family. He did raise his son born 1922 in Louisville and in Philadelphia. His store, Oreste Jr., was part of a Washington Post weather story that is also in a book about the Knickerbocker Storm published by Arcadia. Here is the link to the issue about the orchestra. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/post/knickerbocker-snowstorm-the-final-performance/2013/01/15/87b9e4f4-5f1f-11e2-b05a-605528f6b712_blog.html
I would be interested in knowing who the relative was. Were they in show business (vaudeville) or theater owners? A benefit was held for Oreste at the Strand Theater in Louisville where many well known entertainers came to perform. I also have some of the sheet music they wrote. Oreste wrote a march after the lose of his arm. Thanks much for this memorial.

RE: Collins family of Franklin Co., KY
I found that James H Warner died before Dec 1900. Elizabeth is living with his son in June, 1900 and listed as a widow...

RE: Collins family of Franklin Co., KY
I've never had much info on him. I did look him up in the census and the genweb page for Chicot County, Arkansas. I found the marriage for he and Elizabeth and her marriage to James Warner. Found no cemetery records for him...

RE: Horton Cemetery--Wyett, Elliott Co., KY
Actually, there are two cemeteries on top of the hill. The Tolliver Cemetery is behind the small barn, and the Horton Cemetery is in front of the barn. The cemeteries are on the Buddy Pennington farm on KY 173 approx. 1.7 miles across the Rowan County line in Elliott County. The number on the Pennington's mailbox is 5300, I believe. The location is on the left as you travel from Rowan County. Just before you get to the Pennington farm you will see a small road sign that says Black Lane. Good luck in your travels and your research.
