Bio Photo Hi,

I am a retired veteran and genealogist. I work on Fort Knox so I have opportunities to visit some cemeteries on post and in Hardin County, KY.

If you would like to have a memorial transferred to you, please let me know by using the Edit tab and sending me a note.

RE: Another Shacklett Found
Susie E. Shacklett # 127476241 was the infant daughter of Roderick Warfield Shacklett and his first wife Laura E. (Burch) Shacklett. Roderick # 23531602 is buried with his second wife Mallie (Tilford) Shacklett # 23531620 in Buck Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Thank you so much for the photo. I appreciate all your hard work and help through the years.

RE: Jack E. Elliott
I believe the one is Milton Franklin Dusek, died June 3, 1998. If you google search Milton Dusek "bataan", you will find Mukden POW,s. Just below him is Dysinger. This is a really interesting site with a great amount of information. Thanks for your reply....Phil

Jack E. Elliott
I bought a canteen that had Jack's and 2 other names on it. You may or may not know that Jack was a Death March survivor. The other 2 names were Milton Dusek, who survived with Jack, and Richard Dysinger who unfortunately died in the camp. They were in different units but were all 3 shipped to the same camp in China from Bataan. The name of Bataan was also carved on the canteen.

Mary Dime Whitcomb
I am a "Shirttail" relative. A lot of the Whitcombs married into the Argersinger family & they just "came out of the woodwork" while researching the Argersingers. What started out as 3 -3 " ring binders of info has turned into 17! I just input what I find to help others. I am older & can't walk cemeteries, but if I can help someone else with their families, I will do all I can. I think what you do for is simply wonderful. Thanks for all your time & effort for the rest of us. (I am from Dallas, Texas area, so don't get out that way much.) Most sincerely & respectfully, Carol Frey.

RE: Kimberly Jo Brown memorial #58869444
Thank you so much. That means a lot to me.

If you want to link her maternal grandparents, they are Herman Cecil Horn (memorial # 61797634) and Ina Hines Horn (spelled Hynes on her headstone) (memorial #61797660). That should automatically link Kimberly back to them, shouldn't it?

May I ask one more favor from you? My mother's headstone is scheduled to be engraved sometime this spring, after it warms up enough that the headstone isn't in any danger of cracking from the engraving. If you think of it when you are out there sometime this spring, would you photograph it for me? I'd like to know it was done professionally and with respect. It will be as part of memorial #122592339 (her husband, Jack).

Thank you so much.

Take good care.
