I recently moved to southeastern North Carolina from home-base in southern Michigan. I am researching my family Vought/Nason & Johnson(Giannakis)/Dugan and husband's Green/Colles & Green/Nijak. Also Cochard & Pechtes for my grandchildren. My philosophy is that the more information we share about the past, the better we can serve the future. If I have entered a record for someone you love, please ask me to transfer ownership to you.
RE: Alice Varvel Jean, Your second great-grandfather, James Vance Varvel is my second great-grandmother's older (by 19 days short of a year) brother. It is James Vance Varvel's wife, Alice Mary Spencer that I sponsored; not your great-grandmother, Alice Ada (Dugan) Varvel. Alice Mary (Spencer) Varvel was a dear friend of my grandmother, E. "Irene" (Hanes) Pierce. Check John Wesley Varvel in my memorials. Then you will see his children and grandchildren. Let me known what you think. I do have more information if you need it. Blessings, Mary R.
RE: Memorial# 147129393 What I understand from your reply is that you made a memorial for a Justus L. Vought in Michigan and connected him to his mother(?) Judith Conklin Vought (#52671303) in Hillside Cemetery, in Peekskill.
But I fail to see the relationship to the memorials you want me to transfer. Only that they have the names Justus and Conklin in them.
I would also like to know, if you were the manager of these two memorials - what would you do with them?
Memorial# 147129393 I got your messages asking for the transfer of Justus and Mary (Conklin) Thorn. I am related to Mary (Conklin) Thorn. Can you tell me how you are related to them. I'd also like to know what you plan for these memorials?
James E. Stewart Jean, In the Hicks Cemetery in Calhoun County Michigan you have added the same tombstone photo for two different James E. Stewart's. Their birth and death dates are quite a bit different. Thank you for all the volunteer photos you have done.
David Carlton Hi, Jean, Thank you, yes, I would. That is very nice of you.
I still miss Linda. She was such a sweetheart.
Mine and David's son, Todd, recently bought a house in Battle Creek, a second home, as he lives in Arlington, Tx.
Todd's daughter, Kay, who lives in Battle Creek also, named her new little baby boy David. Makes me and David great grandparents! He would have been thrilled to hear that! Especially since they named the great grandchild after him!
Thank you for everything. Take care and the best to you...
