RE: William H Evans Rick, I was able to make it down to the Denver Library for further research for you. Spoke with the librarian regarding the Horan Morturary records and the book for Year 1905 was not included in the records to the Library from Horan and they do not know whare the book is located. William H Evans was noted in the Index, as this was a seperate book. I was able to locate the funeral notice in the Denver Rocky Mountain News dated Sept 5, 1905, which indicates he resided in Denver at 1829 Stout Street, Denver. This address I was able to locate was for "Hotel Law" at ths time. I do have a photo availabe of the Hotel as well and can send that to you seperately, if you'd like.
I have included the funeral notice on his memorial page and will provide an area photo where he is buried as soon as possible. As noted prior, there is not a headstone placed for William.
I also checked the city directory for 1903-1904 but William was not listed for those years. Hope this helps you out a little.
Do you have his parents names? Have you checked the census records on Ancestry.com? I looked for William H Evans on familyserch.com com as well, but did not find anything further.
You can access Ancestry.com for no charge at a Federal Records location, like National Archives or your local library may have free access as well.
