Thank you for leaving flowers for 3 of my uncles that were in the Civil War. L F Walden, a brother to my 3rd Great Grandfather, was at Gettysburg and died on 7-9-1863. I found this about a year ago when I started researching my Grandfather's family.

Civil War Vets
As I go through several memorials researching families to make links, etc, I see your name and flowers left for many Civil War Veterans, many with non-military markers. I just want you to know your work is very much appreciated. A lot of these fellows would not have their memorials credited with being a Civil War veteran if not for you. Keep up the great work your doing and know that it is very much appreciated!

You have the wrong cemetery listed for my Dad. He is buried at Saint Pauls Church of Christ in Theilman, MN. Just wanted to set the record straight. Thanks for all the work you do for this website. Without people like you, it would be more difficult to search our ancestry.

Thank you for uploading the photo of John's gravestone. I doubt if he was a veteran because her was born in 1859. It's hard to find information about him. The dates on his gravestone gave me his birth and death dates for the first time.

I would like to ask for your permission to use that photo (and others you may have taken of gravestones of my ancestors) in my family tree on Because the photographer has a copyright for each photo, I always ask before using a photo on another web site. I will, of course, put your name as the photographer and the web site of the memorial(s) as the source.

Thank you for considering my request,

Addie Frisbey of Lakewood Cemetery
Thank you so much Tom for finding and photographing her marker for me! It solves a little mystery, as she apparently has two markers, one where she died (and is likely buried) and this one, where the family moved after she died.
Incidently, her father Hiram M. Frisbey was a Civil War veteran, drafted while living in Zumbrow, MN as H.M. Frisbey. He is the brother of my ggg grandfather Loton Frisbey.
Do you mind if I use your photo for my research records?
