Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in family history since the mid-1970's and interested in cemeteries since childhood when we often walked to Lewis Cem a small rural cemetery where we read the stones, told ghost stories and noted the tragedy of infant mortality.
Much research has been done on my Gerrish family since they were an early New England family arriving in Newbury, MA in 1639. But much less is known of my mother's family so at this time I am more interested in learning about her Small, Holton, Ramsay, Ogle, and Light families, the first 2 in PA and the others in Canada, Scotland and Ireland.
Besides my own family I am deeply involved in research of the small rural cemeteries of Carrigan Twp, Marion Co, IL: Lewis, Harrison (where approximately 70% of the burials have some connection to my 3x-Great Grandfather, Henry Gerrish), Phelps and Wisher (listed here as Burton/Kissner/Wisher).
Any new information to add to the memorials I have created as well as information on my own lines is greatly appreciated.
Though my ratio of managed memorials to created memorials is high, I AM NOT a hoarder aka number person. Most of my memorials which I did not create came from the accounts of deceased or inactive contributors. If I have no connection whatever to a memorial that I manage I am always happy to find someone who would like to take it over. And I am just as happy to receive any and all that have a connection with my extended family.

You may use tombstone photos which I have posted for your personal, non-commercial, non-internet use without asking further permission. When taking photos from a memorial please document my full name as it appears here and the memorial number from which it was taken.
I have several hundred old family photos from 85 or more years ago. I have extremely mixed emotions about posting them online because I know there are people who will copy them and claim them and treat them as their own. But I want other family members to have an opportunity to see these pictures. Please contact me for permission to use any of these family pictures.
Please let me know if you have a photo identical to any of mine, because that would mean we are probably related. I love to hear the stories behind the photos and make connections to new found relatives.
DO NOT POST ANY OF MY PHOTOS ONLINE ANYWHERE! That includes other FindaGrave memorials.

RE: Peter Collins # 47063503
Sorry Jane, but I have no more info for you. I have only been taking pictures as weather allows. This winter I will be doing research, so I will add Peter Collins to my list. If I am lucky enough to find anything, I will send it to you.

Thanks.

David Jackson #105345776
Good Morning Jane, I have entered info in Find A Grave on John Jackson #169464271 and wanted to connect him to David. Find A Grave has kicked it back. The message that came with it is as follows:

[image: Inline image 1]If you see a question mark next to the sender's name, the message isn't authenticated. When an email isn't authenticated,
that means Gmail doesn't know if the message is coming from the person who appears to be sending it. If you see this, be careful about replying or
downloading any attachments.

I sent this first to your email but it came back. Hopefully you can delete all this if you don't want it showing up on your page. I'm kind of new at this...

Kreitler
No, I am not related to the Kreitler's, their son August and his wife Elizabeth were our country neighbors in DeWitt County where the Clinton Power Plant is located.

RE: Levi Couch burial location
You did. SusieWood has said there USA couple (husband and wife) buried at the Higgins Couch cemetery on the south side, but their headstones are at Friendsville.

RE: Levi Couch burial location
No,but they are ordinal founders of my church--Barney's Prairie. I am researching for our 200th anniversary.
Cynthia's headstone is at our church. A member retrieved it just as a bulldozer was going to run over it. The lady who bought the property had okay end it. Sometime when cooler, we hope to clean up the cemetery. It is a mess.
