I'm a retired federal employee who fell into doing some online research for a friend of mine - a McKenzie - and now I'm in so deep I can't get out. Most of you probably know the feeling. But it's a harmless obsession which I enjoy so I'll stick with it until I pull out the rest of my disappearing hair. I try to post most of my findings on Find A Grave so if you're interested in the McKenzie family who settled in central Missouri after emigrating from North Carolina via Kentucky, just enter the last name - mckenzie - in the box to the right and take a look! As for my own family, some surnames would be Fallas, Fallass, Bray, Oechsli, Mills - all of those in the northeastern quadrant of the U.S. - and, on the Swedish side, Nilsson and Waldemarsson in the province of Skåne län. And, yes, I like Beethoven!|

Thanks Tom; that's the piece I was missing!
|Daddy♥s Girl||Barbara G|
Thanks so much for the info Tom. Do you happen to know where she's buried?
I can't believe she wasn't accepted for "Famous" status, can you???
I added her middle name, linked her parents, and added some of the info I didn't already have from the obit. Thanks again.

You're welcome, glad to be able to help (just good timing, LOL!).

Thanks for the info- I am going to plan a trip there next summer and see all this. I am interested to know if they were charter members of the church also and they helped build the church also. My relatives on my mothers side were instrumental in building the town of Manfred North Dakota (website is manfrednd.org)and we have the Vang church on the National Register also so this is just peeking my curious mind now. New mysteries are fun and the interent is fantastic for mysteries! Thanks again

Just recently found this. I never had much info on my Father's side and apparently Marie and Nils Jonson are my Great Grandparents. What a great find. Thank you for this site and pictures! I may have to plan a trip there next summer to investigate this church!

I added a photo for Mary E. Curren Allen for you. She was with the rest of the Allen family at Harleigh in Camden.
