|I have been a Civil War buff for over 50 years now. I collect Civil War books and have over 500 at present. I enjoy visiting battlefields, and have visited most of the major battles of the war. I have built a data base over the years of Civil War officers of North Carolina units, and have tried to find out when and where they died, where they are buried, and what they did after the war. I have a great deal of info on some, little or nothing on others, and am always looking to fill in missing pieces. My database contains a little over 3400 names now. A great, great grandfather on my father's side was a private in Co K, 47thNC, enlisting at the age of 43. He was wounded at Gettysburg, and again in fighting around Petersburg in February, 1865. He died of those wounds April 25, 1865 in a Richmond hospital, and is buried in Hollywood Cemetery there. A great grandfather, this one on my mother's side, was a pvt in the 37thNC. He died of disease and is also buried in Hollywood Cemetery.|

Thank you for the photo of Gladys Virginia's grave. I am so grateful to have it.
. . . for the bio for Capt. W. T. Lindsay. I've included that information in the bio section on his memorial page.
Have a great day!

I'm afraid I didn't post the memorial for Joseph Carrier. It was posted by contributor Bev.
Her contributor page:
If I could add to it I surely would. Good luck! :)
