Bio and Links
Bio Photo I feel it is very important to locate our ancestor's gravesites.
Photographing a headstone is one way of documenting our family.

I helped form the "Noble Family Association". We locate the graves of family members that need a new marker or perhaps only had a rock to mark where they are buried. So far we have done over 180 in Breathitt, Wolfe and Perry Counties in Kentucky.
{We leave the old marker in place and add a second marker in front of the old one}
This has been such a fulfilling program.
We have done this through donations and group fund raising programs.

If you find a mistake in my posting please email and I will change the information.

I will abide by the rules in transferring the memorials. However if the person is also related in my family line then I prefer to keep and maintain myself.

Good luck to all of you in finding your relatives and hopefully you may find a way to keep the stones in good condition or replace. It is so sad to see the condition of some of the markers.

Wm Moorhead #37419998
Jerri, This Wm Moorhead in Butler Co OH in Brosius Cemetery is a person I have been looking for. I have been to the cemetery. I think the age of Wm should be 74 instead of 24 and here is why. The Wm that I have been looking for was born in 1777 in PA. If you subtract 74 from the death year on the memorial it comes to 1777. So if you do not mind I would like to change the birth year. Let me know.
Thank you for all you do on Find A Grave. Therse

RE: Harvey Bend Cemetery/Breathitt Co
I didn't remember but my husband reminded me that we went back to the cemetery back in the spring to take more pictures. I faintly remember that we got maybe halfway through it when a severe storm hit. I hunted through all my memory cards and I finally found the pictures that we took that day. I am adding these people to the cemetery I created but please let me know if I need to delete any of them.

RE: Harvey Bend Cemetery/Breathitt Co
If there is a duplication, you can go to the Find A Grave Forum page to corrections page and ask to have the cemeteries merged Sometime they do it, sometimes they don't If that don't work, they can all be put in one cemetery. You can also ask for name change on the corrections page

RE: Harvey Bend Cemetery/Breathitt Co
I started looking for this Harvey Bend cemetery because my aunt's in-laws are buried there. When I searched for Harveys I only came up with the one that is on top of a mountain. You have to drive through a field and cross a drain. When I was there last year rains had washed the dirt around the drain and we were afraid to cross it. My husband thinks there was a small church at the Harvey Bend Cemetery. I can't remember because I have been to so many. The cemetery is a rather nice large cemetery and well taken care of. I only had time to take pictures of the people I was looking for. There are a lot of graves there that need to be recorded. I thought I would come back and do it but didn't. This cemetery looks to be a newer one and you can see it from the road. We went to Lost Creek and drove to it that away. If you want to add names please do. I don't mind. Let me know if I need to change anything

RE: John Haddix and Mary Taylor Haddix

Thank you for your reply. Obviously, I read the considerable contributions and work you and others have done with the "Noble Family Association". This is above and beyond the call of duty. An honorable and noteworthy cause. I thank you greatly for it especially considering John and Mary Haddix.

However, you would not be eliminating an ancestor but placing it in the capable hands of a direct descendant of John and Mary Haddix. I'm not only a writer, a graduate of the University of Nebraska, and a dedicated contributor such as yourself but a seasoned researcher dedicated to our Haddix family name and compiled solid ancestry data back to the 1400's.

Regardless, I'm glad to hear that although you do not bear the Haddix name you consider our common heritage an important life mission. Please consider my request due to utmost respect and courtesy towards you.

John and Mary are at the apex of the Haddix genealogy, especially because the uniqueness of the spelling and the branching off from the Haddock root name. In essence, these memorials represents one of the keystones to my own surname, namesake, and birthright.

Thank you for our reply once again, and I hope you understand the sincerity of my request and honor it out of the deep respect I have for my own bloodline and heritage.

With great respect,

Donald Haddix
