We have learned that walking the cemeteries and taking photos are more accurate for adding data

I am happy to transfer if they are family. P,ease use edit tab for changes.

Four years ago we started using Find a Grave and just was out there looking for relatives. It is not a numbers game for me. It found us roaming around in cemeteries trying to locate my ancestors. We have been doing many memorials of people in many cemeteries. If you see someone that is your relative please ask for a transfer. We mostly have been in cemeteries in Webster Co, Hopkins Co Ky Recently we have been doing many Posey Co Indiana Cemeteries. I hope we can make a difference for people interested in locating their family. We long ago decided that inputting names from a book from libraries or other sources are subject to inaccuracy. You have to do the actual walking in the cemeteries to confirm dates and names and families. We take managing memorials seriously. If you want the memorials, you tacitly accept the responsibility of editing them.

We are currently working on our local cemeteries as so much needs to be done here.

My family lines are Foster , Egloff. Sanders
Lively ,Maag Huskey ,Cobb and Cates.

Thanks to my husband Milton Yuan for developing my family genealogy website I want to share the link with you www.webclad.com/genealogy It will link my family and ancestors and added pictures that have been collected and shared with anyone interested in the Foster/Egloff/Lively/Maag family

In the event that i am unable to continue to manage my memorials. I want my husband will manage my memorials.
Milton Yuan.

RE: Sallie neal cates
Hi Linda:

Sarah "Sallie" Cates Dame, # 67901009, was my GG-grandmother, through her daughter Rose Ella Dame Weir, # 88472876. Rose Ella was the sister of Cordie Ann Dame Neal, the mother of Sallie Jane Neal Cates (and I see you already fixed her page except for the photo), and also of Claude Neal, of course! I have done extensive research on Ancestry on this whole family, but I still have a long way to go... for one thing, I still need to track down the Roy Cates that Sallie Jane Neal apparently married!

So we're related somehow, if you're related to the Cates family!

re: our meeting
Good morning Linda. It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband yesterday. Would love to meet you all again some time. It's a shame that some are not listed. When I do a request me or my granddaughter check the back of the headstone just in case the wife/ husband are there. I am working on section E and some have memorial pages , but I also found a few who only did the men and not the wife. All in all out of 35 graves in that section I am making memorial pages for 12, at least they will have one now. as will those like you that take the photos to help those who are searching for their love one's. Glad you all made it home safe and sound. I will be back out there Monday, my granddaughter over looked one in section. The lady that I am helping sends me so many a week but is going by the alphabet and she is up to the "J' s ".I also do other requests as well.

It's a hot humid day here 88. Stay cool my new friend. I have a on line friend from genealogy who lives in Evansville in a retirement apt complex but she doesn't do Find A Grave.

Again I am glad that I had the pleasure of meeting you all. Have a great day. Going to work on my German line or try to.

Sandy

RE: Johnson island
Hello Linda

As you can see from the photos of the different views of the whole cemetery, there is a lot of empty space. I made memorials for several there but some were already made. In fact, there are 7 memorials created for this cemetery that is actually in another cemetery, so there are even less than is listed.

Could you please tell me what memorial you created? I can't find any with Linda Y listed as creator.

Thank you

Robert Johnson #113082144
Hello, Robert Johnson Find A Grave Memorial# 113082144 is my husbands father. I created a memorial for him but there appears to be a duplicate now. We would like to manage his Dads memorial. How to correct?
