Bio Photo Please use any photos I have taken for your personal use. I may have the originals; just ask. I would love to transfer any family to you, as long as they are not my family, too! I do not have a relationship with 99% of the memorials I create.

I love to get edits to complete more information for memorials. Thank you!

I can do library lookups for the Marshfield, WI and Antigo, WI library. I love to help with family histories.

Please stop and remember:

RE: Dobbs
And thank you for the correction --
By the way, Thomas Miller Dobbs' dates are 15 Dec. 1848 - 22 Aug. 1900.

Thank you for the info that she has no tombstone. Though disappointing, your time and efforts are nonetheless greatly appreciated.

I cannot delete it either. Very odd but I've had other gliches on F-A-G! I'll have to contact them. :(

You transferred this memorial (139686060) to me but I have discovered that it is a duplicate. Verna was married twice and used two last names. Please see memorial (98923748) and delete your original entry.

Thanks again,

Nora Craig Holmes
Thanks for looking/searching for the marker for N. Holmes. I didn't see any indication on the memorial page that there wasn't any marker.

Do know your efforts are greatly appreciated!

RE: Teal
I am not related. I was doing a quick research project on the Civil War veterans buried in that cemetery.

I was "stumped" at first, because I couldn't find his Civil War service, then I realized that he had served in the Mexican War.

I found the information about him (the biographical sketch) in a book "Soldiers and Citizens Album" published in 1888:

If that link doesn't work, let me know. I'll find another way to send the pages to you.

There are lots of clues about his ancestors in this sketch - but fair warning - some of the information is wrong. (I think the author got confused about William's mother and step-mother, and when each of them married his father.)

I didn't investigate beyond William's father, but the family appears to have a very interesting history around the Rev War and the military conflicts with England afterward - forcing the family to leave the country and then return.

N C Holmes #123571356
I will take you up on your offer of checking on someone. You posted a listing for N C Holmes, d 1955, Antigo Cemetery. I suspect this is Leonora "Nora" Craig Holmes, widow of Daniel P. Holmes. Nora was born March 1882 in Harrison Co., MO. The last record I've found for her was in the 1940 census. She and her youngest son, Gerald Holmes, left MO and moved to WI.

I would greatly appreciate any additional information you could find. Is this Nora Craig Holmes? There isn't a photo of a monument. Is there a marker?

If I'm correct, Nora was a sister to my great grandfather Craig.
