I was born and raised in central Wisconsin and have been researching my family's history since the early 1990s, focusing on surnames Wachter, Zimmel, Wagner, Bein, Oberbeck, Ott, Bartelt, Dix, Uber, and Behling.|
When suggesting corrections or additions, unless my mistake is obvious like a misspelled name or an incorrectly transcribed date, please use the "Suggest any other correction or addition" link and explain the source of your information. I don't have time to try to prove maiden names, names of parents, or locations of birth or death so please provide a link to an on-line obituary or vital record.
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Hewitt is now 100% photographed. I started researching the founding families of my church, Immanuel Lutheran in Hewitt, in 1997. I have access to parish records and some cemetery records, and have a collection of obituaries. Prominent names include Federwitz, Ohm, Schroeder, Weichelt, Boehning, Wundrow, and Wunrow. Some of my research has been posted on the Find A Grave Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery page.
I will consider memorial transfers under Find A Grave guidelines. Please read How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me? I'm happy to make exceptions to the "four generation rule" for those who provide a reasonable explanation with their request. Please use the "Suggest a correction" feature under the edit tab on the memorial in question to request transfers.
Finally, thank you to all who post the obituaries I send though SAC and thank you to those who send obituaries for me to post. I hope something I have contributed will help someone find that missing piece of information.

Jenni, I am a Dix family descendant, and I have much info on them back to 1600's. I am a volunteer for the Germantown Historical Society in Dheinsville, WI. If you are interested contact me directly at email@example.com

No, you don't need to transfer to me. I was just wondering if we were related somehow thru that line. My mother is a Preuss so I know that there is a distant connection on that line. Thanks,

I see that you are maintaining her memorial. I was wondering how you are related? She was the mother in law to my aunt.

Hi Jenni - I just got the above Baptismal records...Gotthielf - is how my grandmother had her fathers name written. But in the Baptismal records it is spelled GOTTHILF. Thanks for the he heads up to investigate this more. Happy Easter, Marie

Again, thanks so much for your time and effort in getting the picture for me. I have a lot of family in that area, but my grand father moved to Iowa in the early 1900's so we are not real close to the remaining families in WI.
