Bio Photo ***NOW LIVING IN TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA!***

I've been researching my Doyle-Larson heritage for over a decade. My roots go deep in Gibson County, Indiana (where I was born). My mother's family is connected to the earliest pioneers of that county, including Robb, Beasley, Mills, Cunningham, Decker, Anthis and Barekman families. My father's family came from County Donegal Ireland to PA, OH and IN. His mother had deep roots in Vincennes and LaPorte, Indiana. My focus, however, has been my mom's side of the family. If you have relatives in Princeton, Patoka or Francisco, I'm probably somehow related. Leave a message to say hi or let me know how we're related. Thanks!

A quick note on the Mills family. They came to the Northwest Territory, settling near Princeton, before Indiana was a state. As Indiana's bicentennial approaches in 2016, I'm preparing a booklet on the Mills family's more than 200-year history in that state. If you are connected to the James Mills family that travelled from Maine to Indiana (NW Territory) about 1811, then I definitely want to hear from you!

RE: Pittmans in Park Lawn
Chris, we no longer go to the cemeteries due to heath issues. But, I looked at the Browning site and yes, PL does mean Park Lawn. Here is Park Lawn's phone number if you would like to give them a call - 812-476-1456. Hope this helps.

RE: Lewis Rupert Bailey
Yes, this is confusing. Cemetery office records show that he is buried in the Hadden plot. His wife's stone is in that plot also, but the other half of her stone is blank. She may be part of the Hadden Family, or he may be, but I have found no connection. I'll be out there again next week and will try to check again.
Thanks, Joe Craver

Helen Louise Brown Collins
The cemetery records show Helen died September 30, 1981 and was buried October 5, 1981, next to Ora. I should have time this weekend to take a photo of her headstone.

RE: Mildred Ruth Brown-Cochrane
Hello Chris.

After taking another look, I do believe I had the wrong Bertha. I believe this may be the correct person.

BROWN BERTHAL E. 82 1978 6 30 02 TRIB
This date would be 30 Jun 1978.

Good luck in your search.

RE: Mildred Ruth Brown-Cochrane
Hello Chris.

Mildred was married to my 2nd cousin. I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about her ancestors. I do see there is an obituary for Demetris and possibly Bertha. I would suggest you try to get a copy.

BROWN DEMETRIS 80 1975 9 9 03 TRIB
Date of obit is 9/9/1975, page 3

I'm not possitive, but I believe this may be Bertha.

BROWN BERTHA E. 85 1979 7 28 02 STAR
This obit would be 7/28/1979, page 2

Here is the site where these and other obituaries can be found.

http://www.vigo.lib.in.us/obituaries

You will find a volunteer that can get these obituaries at the following site. The site is free, you just need to sign up.

http://www.gengathering.com

I hope this helps.

If Irene Hussey is a relative of yours, I'd be glad to transfer her memorial to you. (I'm not related to her.)
