We love paying homage to our ancestors and extending our genealogical interests to Find A Grave by linking family members to each other. Hopefully, this will help others fill in holes in their family research. If you notice any errors or would like to add any information to our Memorials, please let us know. We're not fussy. You can send an email or use the edit functions. If you have documentation for your edits, please include it. We want to be accurate and documentation saves us time in checking facts.

A special thank you to all the great Find A Grave members who have been so kind to share information with us and so willing to photograph grave stones to place on our Memorials. If you use any photographs from our Memorials on other web sites, please make sure you ask the owner of the photograph for permission to do so and please give him/her proper credit for the photo.

This is a great site with lots of angels and very few lemons. Let's all work to keep it that way.

RE: Father of George Robb
Thanks for the heads up. The Burkett spelling came from a Robb family member and is most probably correct.

Yes, his moms life was absolutely tragic. And we have no way of knowing if she was truly mentally ill, or just conveniently institutionalized, as many women found themselves in that situation. Tragic

RE: Re Globe Cemetery
Born Long Branch NJ.
Family moved to Calif early 50's.
Retired USAF as MSgt.
Married wife from Wisconsin while stationed in Sacramento.
Never left the CONUS.
Wife retired from USA Corp Engineers (Civilian) and we returned to her home in AZ.
Suckered into F-A-G by a friend but totally enjoy it.

I am creating the type of monuments that you need while photographing those areas that look the most desolate.

RE: Globe Cemetery
I understand your feelings regarding the cemetery. My cemetery partner and I have walked almost every inch of the old section and we are always sad about the condition. I have several local sources for information [grave] and access to a few web sources that may help when you are ready. It is interesting that you are in New Jersey, I was born there.

RE: Globe Cemetery, Globe, Gila, AZ
There is but one cemetery in Globe Arizona. A reference to the Globe General Cemetery should have read Globe (General) Cemetery which was a common notation in the early part of the 20th century , it does not reference a specific part of the cemetery. It does mean that the interment is in the old section which is comprised, now, of several 'sections'. If you need to learn where in the 'general' area I will try to help. There are many graves noted as 'General' which can only be found by walking the entire area.
