Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my genealogy for many years and now have over 21,000 people in my database and in a private genealogy website.

I am a former Navy Nurse, civilian nurse, nurse educator, airline pilot and diving instructor. I am still a photographer & do some tutoring in addition to my genealogy work. I enjoy walking cemeteries and taking photos for you.

I have found thousands of relatives and ancestors who were murdered in the Holocaust. I am entering them, one by one, and so far have created over 2,400 of their memorials, more than 1500 in Auschwitz alone! They are separated in my virtual cemeteries by camps, and I also created a virtual cemetery for the children. I would be honored if you would stop by to visit them when you are able. I ask only that you refrain from leaving Christian tokens or wording. Thank you so much.

Feel free to add photos to my memorials any time, as long as you have taken them yourself and have not copied them from obituaries. Thanks!!

I am happy to make additions, corrections and family links, and am always grateful for additional information you can send. Please send them using the EDIT feature on the memorial page. I will act on all additions, etc. within 24 hours, if possible.

I would so appreciate if you would stop by my beloved dad's and mom's memorials and leave a token so I know you've been there. My mom has only been in heaven a short time. Thank you so much to those who have already visited them. I have also made virtual cemeteries for my 5 wonderful fur babies and 2 special cousins. They would love to see you too. I miss them all so much. Thank you.

I would like to thank every one of you for visiting my family members & friends. It truly means so very much to me to see all your tokens and notes. You are a very special group of people and I am so grateful to have met you.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

I was in the Navy from 1977-2004, retired from BUMED. How long were you in and where did you serve?

RE: My parents
Thanks for your note. My parents were also married in a November 23, but my Dad died before their 18th anniversary. Tomorrow would have been their 75th anniversary... Nice to compare notes.
Happy T-day!

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to locate and photograph Daisy's final resting place! It is much appreciated! Did you go out there in that wind to take the photo?

I was under the impression they were cousins - their fathers were brothers. I believe they were sent to Auschwitz on different transports, but I was unaware there were photos, so I'm not sure which is the one in the photo.

Best regards,

Laura Ellen Mitchell Snodderley
Hi Sue,

Can you tell me how you came across Laura Snodderley?
She and her husband, George Washington Snodderley were my husband's ancestors -- not direct line.

Good work on the Holocaust memorials you created or maintain. Those have to have involved a lot of serious digging. And, what a fabulous area of study.

Thank you for your service to this country. We appreciate all that you contributed.

Keep diggin'
