|My husband and I have been researching our families for over ten years. Most of this was done the old fashioned way by visiting archives, libraries, courthouses, elderly relatives etc. When we began there was nothing available on the internet, not even census records.|
The way we did it was great fun. But now it is much easier. There is so much on the internet --definitely not everything-- but a lot. Since discovering Find-a-Grave, I was able to locate a couple of people in my own line that I had not previously managed to find. Now I want to help others by being involved in the project of Find-a-Grave.
I try to take good pictures but sometimes because of the conditions, etc. they do not come out as I would like. If anyone gets a better picture than I have put up, just let me know and I will remove mine.

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History of the 89th Division, George Landry, who was from Paincourtville, LA, was also part of this unit.
I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with my project, but want to eventually publish something. Would it be permissible to use your photograph of the grave of George Landry (Find A Grave Memorial# 122543606) should I eventually publish something?
With warm regards,
|Ms. Clyde||RE: Dorothy Fairbanks|
I'm sorry, but my captsha puzzle thing is not appearing, so I can't use the edit for messages. Find A Grave says I need to upgrade my OS, but I don't like changes, so I'm stalling...

|Pamela Thompson||Gravestone Photo Permission|
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestones of Alvin & Betty Alford in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery (Memorial# 38328372).
I would like to add these gravestone photos to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Louisiana Obituaries, where their obituaries are (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/obit.html.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Louise [or your full name if you prefer]
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Louise, I was wondering if you are relative to the Penny Family in the Fort Worth, TX area? Please email me firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thank you for the beautiful grave picture.

Really confusing.. Obituary indicates he is in New Iberia. and all indicated that he is.
I have seen a memorial indicating "in honor of since there is a marker" in the Carencro one... and post the obituary which would explain and also link his wife that is linked on the Carencro one to the one in New Iberia..
It is all up to what you think.. i had to share for that was a distant family member that sent me the info..
