My husband and I have been researching our families for over ten years. Most of this was done the old fashioned way by visiting archives, libraries, courthouses, elderly relatives etc. When we began there was nothing available on the internet, not even census records.

The way we did it was great fun. But now it is much easier. There is so much on the internet --definitely not everything-- but a lot. Since discovering Find-a-Grave, I was able to locate a couple of people in my own line that I had not previously managed to find. Now I want to help others by being involved in the project of Find-a-Grave.

I try to take good pictures but sometimes because of the conditions, etc. they do not come out as I would like. If anyone gets a better picture than I have put up, just let me know and I will remove mine.

I moved these 2 to the Prairieville Hope Haven cemetery. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Can be confusing as there are 2 Hope Haven cemeteries in this area.

Thanks again.

Thank you so much for letting me know that I had her listed in the wrong cemetery. I did as you asked and moved her obituary to the right one.

RE: Basil Sonnier
Interesting! Looks sideways on my iPad (using Safari), but on my desktop Mac (using Firefox) it's fine. Perhaps it's just a browser or OS compatibility issue? (though most photos look fine. hmm.) Anyway, thank you!

Hi,
Photos are welcome, though I wonder if it's possible to turn it so it's not sideways? If not, still fine. More info/views of tomb better than fewer. Appreciate all the work you, Sebastian & others are doing, especially in Carencro & Scott. Feel free to contact me if you need any help tying people together, have questions, etc. I need to make time to add more links & info on some of mine. Best, Liz

Eraste, Ivy, and Ange Rogers and their wives
Hi Louise

Thanks for take ur time to searching my relative headstones.. I have no idea which cemetery they buried cause I haven't get much lucky information of them buried.. I just assume they buried Saint Peter Catholic.. its pretty close but glad u let me know so I can change to right one.. I already moved Eraste, Ivy and Ange and their wives to correct cemetery.. please posted photos and thanks so much for ur time.

One more thing I wonder if u could able find out for me my grandpa Claby Rogers's first wife name Emily I. "Emilie" Quebodeaux-Rogers F.A.G. ID 108573261

I already post her Obits on F.A.G. u might able to reading it.. I didn't find either Rayne Catholic Cemetery or Eagen/Eagan Cemetery on F.A.G. Hope u could looking at it. Cause me and my dad was very curious about her.. also I do not know if her maiden name is Quebedeaux... Still not sure..

Let me know... and again thanks for photos of my relative.. I truly appreciated it cause I couldn't able go to Louisiana.. Im from North Carolina.

Thanks again
Jason
