I've been researching my family tree since 2000. |
Took pictures for Lake Carroll Cemetery and put the pictures with memorials already entered online. I added memorials that were not currently listed. If headstones did not have a death date, I looked the individual up on Ancestry.com and in local newspapers. If unable to find them I assumed they were still living and did not post a picture for that particular person.
Currently photographing Woodlawn Cemetery. This will be a very big project considering the size of the cemetery. Will take pics & upload as I can.
If you request a picture & the grave is unmarked I will usually post a picture of the location they are buried in (according to the cemetery map provided by the City of Tampa). Click on pictures and check captions to see references. Map is in Adobe...will be glad to email it if you would like. Also, you may search the City of Tampa website at:
(Please note that the only cemeteries listed on their site, are the cemeteries that are cared for by the city. There are about 4 or 5 cemeteries on this site)
Sometimes they may have more info than the memorials (or different). When a photo is requested I search this site to find the location. If not listed you will need to call Melissa @ the cemetery office for location. Her number is: 813-274-8711 or select "Contact Us" on the main cemetery page to send her an email. I have found her to be very prompt and helpful.
Feel free to contact me regarding questions on info/photos I post. Will be glad to help if I can.

|Carol (Hersey)Brookheart||RE: Morse / Branch - Woodlawn Cemetery|
Thank you so much for your research!
I am helping Jonathan with his Isabelle Surrency research and actually was able to finally connect who Fred Dillon, Jr. was. He was the grandson of John & Isabella Dillon.
I will get back with you.

At this point in my research, that name isn't familiar, but I will let you know if I find out differently.
Thank you for posting your photos and for the information.
Have a good day,

After your wonderful on-line research and photo shots I have been able to update completely seven memorials. So much credit needs to be given to you for your follow through. Glad you had weather allowing you to take photos of the Nelson plots.
I personally do not know these relatives, but I am sure that close members of these individuals will also be thankful and will have cherished memories of these memorials for years to come. Thanks Lori
|Sharon Craig||RE: Mario Henriquez / Woodlawn Cemetery|
Thank you so much for taking the time to look up the headstones of my family.
Marie Acosta, my grandmother
Cayetano , my grandfather
Mario Henriquez born 1924
Violet Jiminez Henriquez
The other Mario Henriquez is my half brothers father. He died as the result of gas being released in his home. His wife Archie gassed him. He had a broken leg so he couldn't get out of the house. This story is per my mother, his first wife. I guess he was a real $%#(.....
|Mark E. Thomas||Matia Webster's Maker|

Hey Lori, great to hear from you. If it is easier, please feel free to email me directly:
Another researcher named Carol and I are rabidly digging into this line this week; Isabelle has been a brick wall mystery for 75 years! A very very large DNA link last week with another Surrency ancestor (Isabelle's aunt) who is Carol's great grandmother made it start collapsing. The major issue for years is that everyone has called Isabelle's husband John "Gellul" instead of Dillon because that is the name that he and Isabelle, as well as Isabelle's Underhill children, were found under in the 1900 Census. We have created a private tree on Ancestry to work through the connection (trying to prove who Isabelle's parents were) and would love to have your input!
We really appreciate your interest and assistance. Again, if you would like to join us in the collaboration trying to tie these all together we would love it. Just email me so that I can add you to our email. Cheers, I look forward to hearing from you.
