With all of my family roots in South Carolina, and having lived away from there in England, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Walla Walla all my life, I lost touch with many relatives and any connections to my ancestors. Now, returning to South Carolina to care for my aging parents, I've a much greater sense of the reality of my ancestors, largely through visits to their grave sites and genealogical research on over three thousand relatives. To try and perpetuate their memories to future generations, I'm attempting to create as many online records of their existence as I can.|
For many family members, the only lasting trace of them is a burial memorial, and Find-A-Grave allows their burial to be documented and memorialized, hopefully in perpetuity. Photographs help to maintain a record of the original and subsequent grave markers and despite our casual beliefs, stone is not forever. When fulfilling photo requests, I try to to photograph family groups when I can, and document immediate family in memorials and photographs.
I look forward to the day that virtually all grave memorials are online and can be remembered by everyone.
Feel free to contact me, and if I'm a bit slow in getting back to you, its only because I'm a little behind at the moment. Or eating my favorite food, bread.

|Emily rose-powell||thank you thank you!!!|
Could you please tell me where the Stroman cemetery is located? Hans Jacob Stroman was my 5th great grandfather. I have lived in Houston, TX for 9 years. Ironically, I have driven by Gonzalez, TX to go to Wurstfest in New Braunfels every year not knowing stromans rested there. Also I married a Powell (native texan) 2 years ago. I had no idea I had any familial connection to TX! I am originally from charleston and my father is from orangeburg. He now lives not far from eutaw springs. He is a disabled Vietnam veteran. It will be nice to show him the resting place of our patriot forefather!!! God bless you for keeping history alive!

Thanks for taking the time to photograph her grave for me.
I am grateful.
Thanks for adding the family connections on the 2 Dukes Memorials. Sorry for the duplicate note for Sara. I hit the back screen icon instead of the refresh & it resent the same note. Thanks again.

Thank you so much. I emailed you with the email thread and my response to David who is looking for photos of his grandparents, Anna and John Etheridge. I told him you would be in touch as you can see from the email. Linda

Are you available to take a photo of grave markers at Ebenezer? I have been contacted by someone who wishes to have a photo of their grandparents markers. Please let me know if you could do this or if there is someone else I could recommend. I do not live in SC so it is impossible for me to do this. Thanks, Linda
