Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband & I live in Southern Indiana and like to take 'country drives'. Frequently we pass cemeteries that seem to be lost and mourn a little for what appears to be forgotten souls.
--I will be happy to transfer management of your family members to you, just ask.
----Please accept my apology for some photos in which the stones are 'dirty', some cemeteries are just too over grown.

Memorial #85394092
This memorial on William Benjamin Chisham is linked to parents, Urial Riley Chisham and Jane Busick Chisham. William Benjamin Chisham's father is Urial and his mother's name is Jane (last name unknown)but it isn't this Jane. The link is for Jane Busick Chisham, memorial #15456634 who married William Walter Chisham, a brother of Urial Chisham. If you double click on the picture of her grave marker, there is a notation below that says "Wife of William W Chisham - Stone is beside William's stone". The following is the excerpt concerning William Walter Chisham from his biography in the History of Orange County, etc., by Goodspeed: "He has been twice married: September 13, 1836, to Jane, daughter of Gabriel and Catharine (Sauls) Busick. Mr. Busick was born in North Carolina October 1, 1785, and died December 24, 1852; his wife was born August 11, 1785 and died April 4, 1872. Mrs. Chisham was born in North Carolina, December 1, 1815, died October 11, 1865."

Edward Wright
changing Lena Wright's mother
The family trees on ancestry have always listed Lena Wright Younger Ralston's mother has Sarah Jane Reed(1851-1874). I too am guilty of this but is has always bothered me. Since the Indiana death certificates have been added to ancestry many facts have become clear. Her father Green T Wright married Jennie Hamer in 1875. Lena's mother is Jennie Hamer(mem# 121049747) & the death certificate states this.
Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave. I've walk a few cemeteries & it's not always fun.

Charles & Thursie Edwards
Dear BarbaraLynn:

Thank you for entering Charles & Thursie Edwards into Find-A-Grave! When I was recently doing some genealogical research, I was so pleased to find them there.

They are my great-grandparents on my father's side, and I would love to maintain their memorial sites. Will you please transfer them to me? As you can see, I have already sponsored both of their sites, and I would love to go further.

Kind regards,

James E. Bohannon
Sorry, James and William would be brothers. I've found it possible to link siblings without parents through the bio section.

Also, my connection to James is my 4x great grandfather William Thomas Bohannon. I am wondering if you wouldn't mind linking them through James' bio? William Thomas Bohannon Memorial #54329770

James E. Bohannon
I am researching James E. Bohannon that you have entered as Memorial #121049101 Thank you for listing the headstone! I have found that another memorial is listed for him also Member #48046742. Not sure if you would consider contacting the person managing that memorial to combine the two memorials. Not sure if the information listed is something to consider listing on the memorial you have listed? It's great you have the stones listed!

RE: Transfers
Thank you for making the transfers. I missed a number in the memorial for Louis Pickens, my great, great grandfather. It is 85394129. I would greatly appreciate it if you transferred his memorial to me; you already transferred that of his wife Sally Tegarden Pickens to me. Thanks so much for doing this. My number is 48599023.

Micah Hopper
Hello Barbara
My Name is Micah Hopper and the picture that you posted of the Hopper Children really touched me.
The Photo was taken in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Orange county Indiana. They are my sisters and my brother. They were ages 5, 2 1/2, and 6 months old. We had a house fire in Northern Indiana in 1981, and basically had nothing left. We left Indiana in 1984 and have only been back three or four times. I have always wanted to go back and put a proper head stone on that site. I even named my children after them. Seeing this brings back so many memories and I just want to say thank you!
