I helped my grandmother Henrietta Alice (White) Phillips with genealogy with her searching since the early 1970s in Missouri. My Great Great Uncle Merritt Alexander Violette, Jr. furnished and donated the birthplace house of Mark Twain to the National Parks. The interest stuck and I have been working on researching my family history ever since.
