I am still new to the whole genealogy thing. I have only been doing for about 15 years. I am hoping that my children will continue the search.|
My Paternal Great Grand father and Mother came from Scotland (but met in Illinois) and my Maternal Family is from Connecticut from the 1652ish. I am in the St. Louis, MO area.
I am working on the Stewart, Robertson, Sage and English Families currently.
Photography is relaxing for me...so I take photos and add them. There is cemetery that I am working on that across the street from my children's school. If you want one of my photos, that is fine, but I do want credit. I however would prefer that they are not added to Ancestry. It is more that you might credit me, but the person that acquires it from you might not.
PLEASE -Turn on your messages. You are missing out on A LOT of info that people may want to share with you.
Please remember, when you start researching a new geographic area, that those living in the area, probably know more than you, but there are some that don't. Like St. Louis City and St. Louis County are very separate, but very connected. Please look at an actual map that has city and county boarders, that is dated for that era, NOT a current map. For example, much of what is warehouses now by river, used to be housing.
Just another twig in the tree.

I looked at your profile and saw how much information there was there. I do have much closer Stewarts in my tree, including a g-grandmother and my mother and brother both have Stewart as their middle name to commemorate the link. I haven't connected one Stewart branch with the other but who knows...
Thanks again for putting so much information on line. I'm sure it's a great help to many more people than just me.
|Timothy Tumbrink||Officer Wilkinson @ Calvary Cemetry (1925)|
I have come across this problem before with "some" of my internments at Calvary. This "might" be nothing more than a clerical error on the part of somebody in the office back in 1925.
I have a friend who works at the morgue and I'll have her see what she can find out. This will take some time as they are very slow when you have to deal with the City of St. Louis.
Here is my e-mail address:
If you could send them to this address I could review them there. Thank you for going the extra step for me. Not to many people care that much. I like to me as accurate as I can with all of my memorials.
|Timothy Tumbrink||Officer James Carmody|
Thank you so very much for your time, travels, and the great photo's. The next time that your over in that section again, can you check to see if his parents (Patrick and Catherine (nee Kelly) Carmody) are in or around Officer Carmody's grave. The parents aren't coming up as being in Calvary Cemetery via the on-line website. If they are there can you please send me the dates on the stones so that I can enter them in the F.A.G. system. I'd like to link the mom & dad to the son. Thank you once again and please be careful while your in the cemetery.
Happy Holiday & a belated Merry Christmas.

Thanks for doing all the transcribing. These are distant cousins of mine and there's no way I would ever have found what happened to them without your efforts. I'm linking some more of their siblings as I find them so that others doing research on the family will find the connections easier to find.
Best wishes and Happy Christmas from Scotland.

Kathie, thanks for the photo. Yes, I see that the markings are sparse! Happy Holiday to you and yours. Thanks so much, Karen
