I am still new to the whole genealogy thing. I have only been doing for about 15 years. I am hoping that my children will continue the search.|
My Paternal Great Grand father and Mother came from Scotland (but met in Illinois) and my Maternal Family is from Connecticut from the 1652ish. I am in the St. Louis, MO area.
I am working on the Stewart, Robertson, Sage and English Families currently.
Photography is relaxing for me...so I take photos and add them. There is cemetery that I am working on that across the street from my children's school. If you want one of my photos, that is fine, but I DO WANT CREDIT. I however would prefer that they are not added to Ancestry. It is more that you might credit me, but the person that acquires it from you might not.
PLEASE -Turn on your messages. You are missing out on A LOT of info that people may want to share with you.
Please remember, when you start researching a new geographic area, that those living in the area, probably know more than you, but there are some that don't. Like St. Louis City and St. Louis County are very separate, but very connected. Please look at an actual map that has city and county boarders, that is dated for that era, NOT a current map. For example, much of what is warehouses now by river, used to be housing.
Just another twig in the tree.

Kathie, by all means wait until it thaws out. I am in Southeast Texas, we get an inch of snow once every ten years. I saw all the Tim's and Mary's and figured it was looking for a needle a haystack.
Mary 11/1923 is in a lot with a Tim 12/1910 - S20 /L1060 (and there is a 2nd Mary in here too.) They are husband & wife. Not sure who the second Mary is. Don't see her listed as a child, but could be one.
Tim 3/1939 is in a lot Nellie 4/1942 - S20/L1366.
This Tim is a son of above.
There are other children so maybe I will have located them before you make your trek.
I appreciate you taking the time to do this. I have photographed the cemeteries around here but mine are waaaaay smaller, 3000 graves.

Thank you for taking and posting the photo for the McGlynn Family. They are my relatives on my mothers side of the family.
Its nice to see the photos of their resting place after hours of tracking them on Ancestry.

Thank you very much for putting the pic on the memorial. That has been one of my long wanted information.
|cbws887||RE: Ellen Surgue @ StL Calvary|
I was only able to match up a few of them with people already in my tree, though some have same names but different years (probably child of previous generation, you know how they love to recycle the same names!) looks like I get to figure out where these fit as they are likely related - thanks again!
