Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in North Mississippi, but grew up and went to school in Memphis. I'm currently doing research on 3 family trees.....my mother's side, The Bookers and my father's side, The Lees, and my late husband's, The Johnson's. It's very interesting. The cemeteries can give us much important information. All of my Mother's family is from down in Tippah County, MS. Mostly Ripley and Oxford. In my research I found that William Faulkner is a 1st cousin 1x removed. My Daddy's family is The Lee's...the Virginia Lees. Found that Gen. Robt.E.Lee is my 3rd cousin 4x removed. Also Richard Henry Lee and Francis Lighfoot Lee, brothers, who both signed the Declaration of Independence are also my cousins. As is their father Thomas Lee, who was the first Govenor of Virginia.
I'm a ballroom dancer and I love music, art and the computer.
You have my permission to use any photographs that I've taken for your ancestors. I thought that was what we do this for....for YOU!

After his death, one of the witnesses of his will, James Riley Caudle, my GG Grandfather, married my GG Grandmother, Stephen's widow, Cornelia Jane Jenkins Lee. According to my Great Grandmother (whom I knew very well), when her mother died a member of the Lee family came and took the two Lee boys. My G Grandmother was only 3 at the time and never saw her two brothers again. I'm not sure of their names....none of the children are mentioned in the will. His brother was executor of the will. I'm still searching...three years looking for where Cornelia is buried, or exactly when she died. It was rumored that she and Stephen were separated when he died. I sort of doubt that since she married one of the witnesses to his will.

RE: Stephen Wharton Lee
You are correct on the first two wives. His third wife was Florence Miranda Burford (1841-1879), and his 4th wife was Cornelia Jane Jenkins, my GG Grandmother. They were married November 14, 1880 in Jefferson County, Alabama. They were married when he died. I have a copy of his will.

Stephen Wharton Lee
Hey Sue,
Stephen Wharton Lee was the first husband of my Great Great Grand Mother, Cornelia Jenkins Lee Caudle. I cannot find where she is buried. Any clues from your side?

Hi, I added a marriage licence posting from the Detroit Free Press for William and Love on their memorials. It stuck out from the locals and piqued my curiosity so I thought I'd track them down.

RE: Bonnie Tucker
Hi Sue. I like that picture of Bonnie. It reminds me a lot of when I first met her. I may have some other pictures to add. I need to look thru my Kellogg pictures to see if I do. She was a very sweet lady. I met her daughters at her funeral and they are just as sweet as she was.
I'm doing better. The radiation has taken longer to get over than I thought it would, but I feel much better now than I did this time last year. Hope all is well with you.

Thank you so much for getting a picture of Hugh's marker. He was a good friend from 'back in the day'. And thank you for all you do. Even in this heat!
