It all started with Deep Branch Baptist in Lumberton, NC and Clover Hill Methodist in Lawndale, NC on my mom's side and Walnut Grove Baptist in Moravian Falls, NC on my dad's side. It was amazing to me that I was related to that many people buried in those cemeteries.|

I am researching my daughter-in-laws grandmother for her. Her name was Pauline Hunt Sawyer (62253467). Would you please link her to her parents Josephine Sampson (66266750) & Harley Hunt (66267010). Thank you so much.
Also Thank you for all the hard work you've done on these families.
I'd appreciate it if you or anyone that sees this relating to Robeson Co, N.C. & the above names would email me if you have Pictures or more personal information. I know Brandy would appreciate it.

|Serena DeHaven||James & Edna Sampson|
My email is DeHavenjays@aol.com if you would like to add any of Atelia Sampsons info. There is a great picture of James & Edna Sampson in the book "LUMBEE INDIANS DURING THE JIM CROW SOUTH" BY MALINDA MAYNOR LOWERY IN CH 3 .

Hi Melanie. Thank you for your hard work & efforts. I have some information to add to the Children of James & Edna Sampson. They had a daughter named Atelia Sampson as well, She is my Great Grandmother & is still living at the age of 99 soon to celebrate her 100th birthday in September. If you would like anymore information concerning additional family members feel free to contact me. Reading thru your post for the ancestors of James & Edna it seems you & I share the same Great Grandparents several generations back. I am so excited and thankful to have stumbled across your work.
|Jere Oxendine||Lena Hunt Oxendine|
Lena Hunt Oxendine was my Grandmother and Sherwood Oxendine was my Grandfather. They had two kids , Danford Oxendine(my Father) and Mozener Oxendine(my Aunt). I was wondering if you had any information about Sherwood Oxendine. From what I hear ,my Grandfather left North Carolina headed for New York , and was never heard from again. My father was trying to locate my grandfther with no success. If you have any info on whether or not he made it to NY, death records , pics of Lena and or Sherwood Oxendine etc would be greatly appreciated. I never saw pics of my grandmother/grandfather , not sure if any exist.

Hello Melanie, I guess we are first cousins. My Grandmother was also Mary Treadway, My mother was her and Nathan Moores youngest her birthday was August 19th 1921. Her name was Fay she said they called her ruie when she was young but her name was just Fay Moore on her birth certificate. What was your fathers name I only met a uncle Raleigh and also one named Woodrow and it was many years ago. Our family moved to Michigan in the 50's quite awhile before I was born and I only remember meeting a few relatives a couple of times when we would visit. I am looking for info on my extended family. you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks Kim

Thank you so much for posting photos of the Call and Glass families in the Wilkes Co. cemeteries. I've added them to my genealogy research (with a watermark giving you credit, of course).

|Charles A Snyder||RE: Re : Dewey Freeman, Jr|
My wife's only blood Aunt on her father's side, Aunt Betty, was Dewey Jr's wife. Aunt Betty loved family history and knew little about the Freeman roots. Your postings are helping me fill in more on my Family Tree program. I added an obit on findagrave.com for Aunt Betty. I use my father's real name on all postings.
|bruce barton||bartons, genealogical work etc.|
I am very impressed with your work, particularly some of your contributions reference the Robeson county Bartons with their Maine roots.
Email me at email@example.com for further info on Bartons and Locklears from Prospect roots.
I am Bruce Barton, son of Lewis Randolph Barton and fifth generation from Charles E. and Elizabeth (Cumbo) Barton, also from Prospect community and buried at Barton cemetery there. I have lived here in the Deep Branch community for some 36 years, and married to a Sampson.
|Donna Thomas||Martha Burgin|
Thank you for the link...connection made. To answer your question, no, neither cemetery is difficult to find. Below are GPS coordinates for both cemeteries.
Bethlehem Cemetery 35.600932 -82.131553
Camp Ground 35.609605,-82.165332
If you go to Google maps and copy and paste one set of coordinates into the search box and click enter, it will show you a map with the exact location.
I have photographed every tombstone and marker in both of these cemeteries. You may use my photos if you'd like. I understand the desire to do your own photos though. If you search for your relatives on Find A Grave first at least you'll know if they have a maker.
I will be happy to transfer Martha to you if you're interested.
Hope this helps,
