I'm creating memorials to honor those who have completed their journeys here. I believe the Find A Grave burial registry helps us to preserve history and is an extremely useful genealogical tool. I especially love to hear from folks who have found a family member or friend through a memorial that I created, that gives real meaning to this work. If you have any corrections or additions to suggest on memorials that I have created, I will take care of them, usually within a week. If you want any records transferred to you that are not in my family, please do not hesitate to ask.

To my friends who have decorated the graves of my precious daughter, Tammy Jo Modglin, and my Mom and Dad, Dorothy Darlene Brown and Carmel Garth Brown, and my sister, Judith Ann "Judy" Brown, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness is very much appreciated, as I decorate also for as many as I can, too.

God Bless All Of You...

RE: Loretta Westerman
San Antonio is expecting their first freeze of the year and probably won't be higher than 50 for the next few days. But nothing like you all have to put up with. Had my share of snow and cold weather when I lived in Burney. Mostly I miss the fall color. Don't get that here in San Antonio. And we have our fair share of triple digit weather in the summer, but combat that by living in an a/c house, drive an a/c car, shop in an a/c mall. Sure beats shoveling snow, anytime!

RE: Loretta Westerman
Thank you for the kind offer of a transfer, but I'm not related. I'm just slowly working through about 20 years of old Greensburg Daily News papers from the 70s-90s and looking for all the obits I can find. Sometimes they are a goldmine of information that may possibly help relatives searching for answers to family questions.

Fussner family of Franklin County, IN
Hi Glenda,
I am helping a friend trace his ancestry. He descends from Johannes and Catherina Engletin Fussner/Foozner who are buried in St. Peters Catholic Cemetery. I was wondering if the dates shown for their births and deaths come from their tombstones or for the records of St. Peters? I have found incredibly detailed accounts of parishioners of German Catholic churches in Illinois, so was wondering if St. Peters has similar records.
Thanks for your hard work.

Regards,

Kevin Daniel

Hi Glenda,
Thanks for your reply. Some of the Fitzsimons' in Maghera Cemetery are ancestors of mine and I would be happy to take them over if it suits you?
I am activly researching my family tree and often visit the cemetery. I have Fitzsimons ancestors on both sides of my family hense most of the Fitzsimons people interred there are probably related to me!
Best regards,
Dolores Fitzsimons.

RE: James Jenkins
Having the entries for Leonda Cemetery already entered from transcript was a huge help. So many stones were tough to read despite my best efforts to get good shots. There is one that I need to go back and re-shoot. Being able to match other info when the names were hard to make out made posting them go much quicker! Thanks!

68313227 James M Jones birthdate?
Hello Glenda,

I took a photo of a James M Jones buried at Sharp Cemetery.

He has a similar name but his birthdate on the stone is Dec 10, 1845 not the 1854 on the memorial you created 68313227.

Is it possible you transposed your last two numbers?

I'm asking because it says he was 66 years, 6 months which would put his birth in 1779 as you have and also matches your 66 years old text in the memorial.

I did not find another James M Jones in the cemetery.

Your date of 1954 with a birthdate of 1779 would make him 75, not 66.

I will be happy to send you the photo I took.

Ellen
