Bio Photo "When I go to a cemetery, I don't just see tombstones. I see families there. I see history there. I see much more than just a stone..."

I've been working on genealogy for about 10 years now. I stumbled upon this site and so impressed with the idea that I decided to volunteer and add graves as I ran across them. It saddens me to see the state of some of the graveyards I've visited, but I feel like I'm helping save part of history by photographing the stones that are still there. If I can be of any help just let me know.

"Genealogy is the art of collecting tidbits of the lives of those who came before us. And a genealogist sorts, organizes and nurtures this info for the purpose of paying it forward to a future generation's hands. The bucket is in our hands now, for a moment it's "ours", but the rest of the brigade is waiting for that pail of water to be passed to the next soul." Gerblady

if you would like a transfer of a memorial, please use the "edit" button on the memorial and state your relationship. I will gladly transfer memorials within 4 direct generations. Others I will be happy to consider. :-)

Emma Moore
I have been to Washington Park East today and photographed Emma's marker. She is buried in a Moore family plot along with James A. Moore (1887-1978) and Clara R. Moore (1881-1928). I have uploaded the photo to James' memorial but did not locate a memorial for Clara. If you create a memorial for her, please let me know and I will upload the photo I took.

RE: Wilsons at East Hill

Thank you for the transfers of my MIL and FIL. I've added some birth and death information for them. Although I have entered an edit request for Grandpa William Wilson (44595040) from his death announcement, I wanted to request that all the following memorials are transferred to me. Since I do have all death notices I can add information easily without the need to constantly message you.

My husband is a 3rd generation only son and there is only our family who are grand children to Wm. & Pearl and as well as the great/great-great grandchildren to Dick and Sarah Brown Wilson.

They had two daughters (Lovica #44595031 and Lucile #44595032) who died young and never married nor birthed any children. Because there are no other direct descendants to Dick and Sarah beside my husband William J. Wilson a.k.a Jay and my SIL's Dianne, Kathy(Deceased) and Jennifer, then our children are the only direct descendants. Dick Wilson (6446544)and Sarah Brown Wilson(6446547); William Wilson (44595040) and Pearl Widau Wilson(44595035). Please transfer all these memorials to my management so that I can enter more accurate information and one day transfer all our son James William Wilson.

Again thank you for all the work you have done creating the memorials for our family.

Warm regards,

Mrs. William J. Wilson

RE: Zion Cemetery
Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. We were in England for three weeks. I did part of the cemetery last summer--inside the circular drive and roughly the eastern one quarter of the rest of the cemetery. If you wish to follow up and do the rest that's fine with me. The remote family members I have there were in the sections I did, so I would be happy for someone else to do the rest. I have a few pictures left to process and post, but hope to have that done in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you for sending the article link. I have added it to her bio and changed the cemetery back to Forest Lawn. I had requested a photo awhile back and the note I wrote in her bio was from a photo volunteer. I believe the article is enough evidence to list it as the cemetery she is in.

God bless,

May Atherton Newhouse
ON Rhoda Blacklidge's bio info

where it says...
Sister Sarah... I let the 'c' out of Blaklidge. It should read BLACKLIDGE.

you say you have researched this family.....
I have May Atherton Newhouse's OBIT, it states one brother Chester in Denver, Colorado, and several sisters....
I have not seen them in the census, unless the father remarried in between census had children, because in all the census that I can find him in he is single and widower.
