RE: Private John Marsh Image
Chappy,
By the way, did I understand you have ancestors that fought in the war? If you are willing to share with me units or names I can check in the NPS Archives here at Gettysburg. Thanks.

RE: Private John Marsh Image
Chappy,
Thank you so much for your reply! What you do is brilliant and I admire it very much. The website you found the letter on is mine and it's nice to know people are finding it. Any vet era pictures you have that you're willing to share would truly be appreciated. My ideas on sharing this information are very similar and I am always browsing ebay to find images like this. When I can add them to the collection it's great, but just to have a digital version is priceless as well.

There are so many amazing stories that are begging to get a little sunlight and it's kind folks like you that help these stories to be told. Thank you. My email is britt.c.isenberg@gmail.com if you're willing to share a few pics. Also, like I said, if you or any family/friends are ever up Gettysburg way and would like a tour, please don't hesitate to let me know. It's on the house. Thanks again for sharing and making my week!
Take good care,
Britt

Private John Marsh Image
Hello sir,
First off, thank you sincerely for your service. I am a historian and Licensed Battlefield Guide at Gettysburg National Military Park and have been researching the 105th Pennsylvania for quite some time. I was very pleased to see on Private Marsh's grave an image that you posted of the young man. I have some of the original letters that Marsh wrote during the war and was recently just at Poplar Grove to visit his grave. You obviously don't have to answer this question, but I was just curious where you found the image of Private Marsh? (I've been searching for what seems an eternity!)

As you probably know, after researching something for so long it is quite moving to finally get a visual on someone like Private Marsh who I feel like in some ways, I know. Thank you again for sharing the image and if you're ever up in Gettysburg, please let me know, the tour's on me ;)
Take good care,
Britt

While photographing the 2 gravestone entries associated with Walter Johnson, I also photographed the adjacent shared gravestone for Donna Sue & Veronica Marie Johnson; and created their respective memorial entries.

I am still looking for him, but thought you might want to post his plot information, as I am entering a busy time of work, in case my claim expires: Circle 778.1, Plot 11, Map Location 2B

Plot 9449 was a Cabse, but your request was next lot. I made both, and created a memorial for Jno Cabse. If it is of interest to you, I will be glad to transfer.
