Greetings: This is a TREE of REMEMBRANCE,Remembering,ACKNOWLEDGING,and Celebrating the lives of LOVED ONES Lost... |
Nobody is Perfect.We all make mistakes,Here and There along Lifes Journey.You have got to be NICE,as you do not know when you are Leaving,and the Future Generations need our help in preserving these PRECIOUS Memories.If they are yours(BLOODLINE)feel free to E-mail me and the transfer is Yours.I enjoy working this Wonderful,Clean Site.I do Love findagrave and have every intention of always maintaining my contributions,but I also have a very active "REAL LIFE".There are also other challenges that I face everyday that I do not feel the need to explain to strangers that are UPSET that they don`t think I am Quick enough making changes for them on the Internet.Please be Patient.Some of Mine,maybe a DOUBLE,a FEW,that I am working on the other Submitter has passed away,and has slightly different information than I have.So,the search is on for proof,this Work GENEALOGY is never done.And we should try and be CIVIL towards others,as when your time is up,well,...My Sources:Albion E-News,Albion,MI.;Brazosport Facts Newspaper,Clute,TX.and sometimes the Houston Chronicle,Houston,TX.Just to name a FEW!****************************************

THE STORYTELLERS WE ARE THE CHOSEN
In each family there is one who seems to be called to find the Ancestors.To put flesh on their bones and make them Live again,to tell the Family Story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but,instead,breathing life into all who have gone on before. We are the Storytellers of the Tribe. All tribes have one.We have been called,as it were by our genes.Those who have gone before cry out to us "Tell our Story" ! So,we do.In finding them,we somehow find ourselves.

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiselled out
on polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to Mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
One of my findagrave friends,whom I chanted with early on here on Findagrave is Love Mo~Proverbs 3:5&6
Please feel free to give her some pretty flowers!
# 74647264 please give some flowers to her.

Happy New Year.
Hope all is well your way. I am currently in Mississippi, hopefully it's temporary. I've not been researching, been doing GrandM'ma duty. I've got a 1yr & 2mth old grandbabies. Also, I've been sharpening my Crochet skills. I've added to FG here n there, lost my Dad in November, and a few more in 2016. It's been a rough year.
Here's hoping this year will be easier on everyone. :)

I found a picture in my dads belongings. I would like to send it to you, the notation on the back says, James M Doss KIA Guam 1944. It is a picture of the 2 of them in uniform taken in a photo booth.
Memorial weekend, my thoughts go to those who gave all.
My dad passed away 3/5/2016 and this weekend his ashes were approved for inurnment in Arlington National Cemetery July 19 2016.
my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
|Kimberly Billinghurst||Hello Family|
Daniel Billinghurst is my great great grandfather. I saw that he is your great great great grandfather. My great grandfather left Albion and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where our family has stayed for generations. I just wanted to say hi. :)
So I joined Find A Grave so I could send you a message.
The picture of the headstone belongs to
Flora (Comstock) Wolcott.
She was born Flora Comstock (not Florilla) on Oct. 31, 1843
and died on Mar. 15, 1923.
She was the daughter of Jude and Mary Rachel (Wilson) Comstock and she married Ludwig J Wolcott.
I did not find any record of a marriage between Flora (Comstock) Wolcoott and a Jenkins anywhere at all.
There is another memorial on Find A Grave for her, it's memorial number 8089117 and, although that one also says Flora was married to a Jenkins, I still don't believe it's accurate.
You should contact the other memorial holder and work out an equitable solution to merge the two memorials or some other plan but there should only be one accurate memorial for everyone.
And, there is the other Flora Comstock.
She was born Florilla Jenkins and she married Julius Comstock. Her memorial is 59016291
She was born and died at least twenty years prior to this Flora and the two women have nothing to do with each other.
Hope that helps clear the air :)

Hi Peanut, I hope this isn't too confusing but I wanted to share some info with you about Florilla.
It appears your memorial is a combination of two different people.
Florilla Jenkins, she was born Jan. 21, 1826 in New York and moved to Nebraska with her daughter when she latter died on Oct. 23, 1902.
Her memorial number is 59016291 and she is not the daughter of Jude and Mary Rachel Wilson Comstock. She was born Jenkins and as much as I've searched, I cannot locate her parents info.
She was married to Julius Comstock, his memorial number is 27896988 and he died in Michigan.
Flora Comstock Wolcott was the daughter of Jude and Mary Rachel Wilson Comstock. She was married to Ludwig J Wolcott and her memorial number is 8089117
The pictures you have linked to this memorial are of Flora Comstock Wolcott and her late husbands graves.
I don't know who the woman photographed on this memorial is but the same photo appears on both memorial pages. It was posted by Gone But Not Forgotten.
I've sent edits to the other two memorial groupings so they can be linked to the correct parents and spouses so hopefully they wont be confused again in the future. I'll dabble a bit more if I have time, they are not related to me I just happened across this while researching yet another Flora Comstock.
Feel free to message me if you have any questions...the best thing I can suggest is to contact the other posters, figure out which one is your ancestor and merge this one with one of the other two or delete it.

Do you if your friend Keith is still with us or if he has passed away? His email doesn't work. I have a friend trying to get in touch with him because their DNA results show they are related.
Thanks for your help.

Dont remember if I have........it does not ring a bell.
I would rather communicate through email as it is easier!
|Robert Boehm Rathbun||RE: Rathbun|
I deleted the message with your email. I have emailed you your lineage to you.
|Robert Boehm Rathbun||RE: Rathbun|
Ransom Cornelius Rathbun is the father of your Irving Chauncey Rathbun who died March 1969 probably in the Naples, Florida area. I would rather communicate through e-mail. (Rathcrest@aol.com) I have your lineage back to England.
|Robert Boehm Rathbun||Our Rathbun connection|
Got home to check.........we actually only share John Rathbun- the immigrant as a common ancestor.
