As a full-time volunteer in the field of Wildlife Rehabilitation, I SO appreciate the time & effort spent to build & maintain this website, keeping it free for the rest of us. I also deeply appreciate those who've uploaded cemetery records & photos to share with the world. May God richly bless each of you - thanks! |
Since beginning my road to the past, I've been blessed to find many family members & have even held a 'family reunion' or two with those long gone. This is a GREAT excuse to get in touch with family members I love dearly, but with whom I've lost contact.
Family names I'm researching: Paternal --
Emerson, Clyatt, Holtzclaw, Beacham, Rutledge, McGee, Rice
McKinney, Bauknight, Whitehurst, Smith, Griffin, DuPree, Bradford, Meetze, Gornto
Blessings & Happy Hunting!

Thanks for posting the great shot of Levi Clinkscales old stone as well as the new. That's really important when there is a new stone involved. Would you know if there is an old stone for Mary Polly as well?
|59Cadillac||Correction on Dates|
The dates for Joel Richard Miller are not correct. They should be
Birth: September 4, 1904 Palmetto, Florida
Death: June 19, 1962 Tampa, Florida
I'd be happy to manage his and Eola Doris' profiles on FindaGrave.com. They are my grandparents. As well as their child Herbert Wayne Miller's profile. His dates are WAY off. Grandmother said he was about 3 when he passed and I have a Death index 1943 on him. So his birth should be abt 1940. The Cemetery records are also wrong. I worked with the Sexton to locate his grave and noticed that at the time.
Find A Grave Memorial
Joel Richard Miller # 32730239
Eola Doris Keene Miller # 12353051
Herbert Wayne Miller # 32918977
|59Cadillac||Someone Marked My Grandparents Grave|
I was surprised, even shocked yesterday when I visited Orange Hill Cemetery as I approached my Grandmother and Grandfathers grave which was unmarked. I had the sexton mark the graves just a week ago and was going to order a marker this week. Shocked because my Grandfather Joel R. Miller died in 1962 and Grandmother Eola Doris (Keene) Miller died in 1997 and they had never had a marker. Unfortunately Grandfather's birth and death dates are wrong and carved into stone! Would you have a clue who might have marked the grave? All direct descendents new I was working on this and would have told me and checked the dates I have so I can't imagine who marked the grave. I suspect it was someone who knew Eola Doris Miller, my grandmother because her dates are correct to the day.

Thank you very much for entering this information. I really had no hopes of finding information on my grandmother's brother. You've certainly given me a great day.

I forgot to add that he was the grandson of Patrick and Anne English Riley--see their memorials on FindAGrave.

|Hank Gillette||RE: Memorials transferred|
Thank you for transferring my parents over to me. I am not local anymore. I currently live in Maryland.
You don't say exactly where you are, but if you are ever in Tampa, my father's parents are buried in the Garden of Memories. Their Find a Grave numbers are 50914628 and 50915721.
Thank you for the service you are providing.
|Hank Gillette||RE: William Gillette Memorial|
William Gillette was my father, and I'd be glad for you to transfer him over to me.
Viola Gillette Munger #32863219 was my mother, and if you are willing, please transfer her over also.
|Doris Albro||RE: H.P. Bauknight|
I have transferred HP to you. There are 5 other Bauknights that I have entered in New Hope (I put almost 200 pictures and still have some to go)I would be glad to transfer all of the Bauknights to you, I am always happy to have a relative as a caretaker.
|Kristina||RE: Baker twins graves|
Hi! I am so glad to hear from someone who can hopefully help my sister-in-law and I out. She did tell me her father's name is Timothy Allen Baker and his mother's name is Ann. Although I looked on here and i don't recall seeing an Ann Baker buried in this cemetary? She really doesn't know a lot about this side of her family as she wasnt raised around her father and his family. She only knows bits and pieces from what her mom has told her. I hope this helped a little bit and I really am thankful for your helping and taking time to go and find where her brothers are buried. It really means a lot to her and I! :) Hope to hear from you soon
