Born Aug. 18, 1952 in Fresno, CA. Lived in or around Fresno all my life. Valedictorian of my Central Union High School class of 1970. Graduated from Calif. State University, Fresno, summa cum laude, with honors, & a degree in economics. Married Dec. 18, 1976. Used to be a pretty good bowler until back trouble forced me to quit. Avid genealogist & cat lover. Besides genealogy, my hobbies are reading, solving puzzles, playing games on my computer, sewing, crocheting, & other kinds of needlework. Currently working on transcribing cemeteries in Fresno, preparing cemetery maps for finding gravesites, & volunteer work in genealogy.|

I used to live around the corner from Varaz Samuelian back in the 80's and 90's. I took a picture of his wifes marker 6 years ago, but did not know he was buried next to her unmarked. Glad the Bee did the story on him, the marker was just placed a couple of weeks ago. Thanks again

I created a Fresno County Cemetery #1 to differentiate from the Fresno County Cemetery behind the Chinese Cemetery, You had a real nice picture of the old Fresno County Cemetery next to Liberty and Beth Israel that you put up on some of the memorials mistakenly showing in the other cemetery. If you would like to add that picture to this cemetery, it is called Fresno County Cemetery #1 . I know people will still be confused, but some of us know the difference between these 2 cemeteries.
